Excellent Resource
I found this book to be an excellent overview of the various religious groups. It was easy to read and interesting.

a basic survey
This book is a basic survey that gives quick chapters on various art movements. You can't read it cover-to-cover because it's like a mini-encyclopedia. But if you're an art student, it's certainly a valuable secondary resource.
