Once I picked up this book, I couldn't put it down. I read it cover to cover in one sitting and it will forever change how I choose to live my life. It's a book I will read at least once a year so I will never forget to make my sands matter. Well written and inspiring, I highly recommend this book and look forward to future publishing by the authors.

Though I had the pleasure of editing the Sand Matters series of books and journals, I'm writing this review of my own accord. The authors produced well-thought-out works in a world where such care is often regarded as trivial and unnecessary. When you buy the series, you'll get to read the published materials. I read not only the authors' manuscripts for print, but their emails to me and between each other as they collaborated in their revisions over a period of 2 years. There was no difference in "voice." It was obvious that they have long lived by the words they offer their readers. They bring their stories alive with vibrant photos, most of them taken by the authors themselves. I edit a lot of manuscripts and documents, but when I learn something for myself, it's a bonus. I found the Sand Matters series thought-provoking, insightful and valuable.
