This review is from: Isn't That What It's for? (Audio CD)
If you are searching for some new powerpop, you have come to the right place. This album is melodic and catchy with great hooks and solid songwriting. Paul's voice reminds me a lot of Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze. This album has an unusually high amount of good tunes on it and stands the test of repeated listenings. If you are a fan of bands like Jellyfish Spilt Milk Big Star #1 Record / Radio City and Ben Folds Five Whatever and Ever Amen, you will be pleasantly surprised by these guys. It is my favorite of all their albums. I find myself singing the hooks from several of these songs now and again then reach for this album and its never disappointing.
