Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

At last, a complete and easy-to-understand blueprint for implementing ISO 9000 at your company. This volume is without equal as a comprehensive, accessible guide to designing and building an ISO 9000 System that will be the foundation for growth and change within any business or industrial operation. HERE is the detailed information about what ISO 9000 is, and what requirements your company must meet to achieve certification. Information is presented in a clear and simplified manner that all readers will welcome. But what makes this manual truly indispensible is its unique workbook format, complete with easy-to-follow "factsheets," that provides an entire methodology by which you'll be able to understand the ISO 9000 series. This-hands-on resource shows you how to: PREPARE your company for ISO 9000 implementation, select the project team, and plan the project for maximum effectiveness. WORK through each phase of the implementation process, utilizing process modeling, diagnostic assessments, and checklists. MAINTAIN and develop the system over the long term, and adapt to expected as well as unpredicatable changes. This innovative manual challenges the notion that ISO 9000 supports just quality management. It proposes a business management system based on the twenty elements of ISO 9001--including those relating to infrastructure, management, continuous improvement, product/service lifecycle, and supporting activities-that more closely mirrors the way in which companies actually do business. With its much-needed emphasis on not only the "what of requirements, but also the "how" of implementation, the book goes a long way toward putting ISO 9000 certification--and ongoing growth and improvement--within the reach of most any company.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very clear and easy to understand, August 13, 1998
This review is from: Iso 9000 Management Systems Manual (Hardcover)
The book takes the subject of implementing a management system to comply with ISO 9000 and makes it easy to understand in common sense business terms. There seems to be a real effort to make ISO 9000 relevant to business improvement. I found the book quite useful and full of helpful hints.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clearly explains how to use ISO to add value to the business, August 13, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Iso 9000 Management Systems Manual (Hardcover)
The authors approach to ISO 9000 is very refreshing. The ISO "roadmap" graphically represents how the standard applies to a company and makes good sense.

The implementation approach is clear and really adds value.
