5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product
I also feared this product would burst after continued use, but it has not. I prefer it over the sand-filled one's that were introduced many years ago, plus, the "filler" is of a much higher quality than sand.

I personally recommend this product for anyone who wishes to use it either for stress relief or to increase hand strength.

2.0 out of 5 stars This thing it too hard!
I don't like it.
Issue is, this thing does NOT offer stress relief, in my opinion. It's way too heavy and too hard to manipulate for "stress relief". It's too stressful on my hands to use holding, but it works OK if I lay it flat on my desk and pinch it or roll it on the desk. But, to hold it and squeeze actually makes my hand muscles sore.

It gets full 5...

Great price and a great item. I was scared of this being a cheap product that would break easy, but instead it had lasted with no problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars what a satisfying squeeze, October 3, 2011

This is one durable little rubber squeezer. It gets better after the first few days of use as the grains inside it seem to "break in" and the squeeze becomes very smooth--not at all like squeezing sand. This is much better than a bag of sand. I am a compulsive fidgeter medical student and I bought this stress ball so I have something to my hands while I study for over 12 hours a day. Two weeks and dozens of hours of squeezing and this stress ball is as satisfying as ever.

I sent it to my husband in Afghanistan, to help relieve the day to day stress. He keeps it in his office. It is a nice size and really helps.

It gets full 5 stars for durability though.

Ball had a satisfying squeeze but what just silica sand in a balloon. Ripped apart in under two weeks of regular use.

The item arrived on time for Christmas, much earlier than expected. The colors were great and the item was exactly as described.

Yes, it is just a durable bag filled with semi-moldable sand but it is exactly what I wanted. Tough, good feel, and makes your hand muscles work.

If you have the original Isoflex Stress Relief Ball and compare that one with the marbleized version you can feel a difference. Another reviewer describes this product as having a "smoother feel." That's a great description which is especially true after the product is broken in. To me, the marbilized version feels like your squeezing a lump of heavy clay. The original has a slight grainy feel.

Unlike traditional grip strengtheners and foam balls, what I really like to do with the Isoflex is to palm it in one hand and punch it with my other hand. The product molds pleasingly to the punch. I squeeze out the dimples and then punch it again. This product's durability holds up to low speed impacts.

My one complaint is the latex covering. It will disfigure if you really pinch or stab into the product with your fingers. Although I don't have the strength to break the product, if your strong enough you eventually see distinct faded spots where the "skin" was severely stretched and has lost some rebound.

Overall, a sound, portable, and enjoyable stress reliever.

I bought this in part because a review says it is not filled with sand. I don't know what exactly is in there, but it feels like sand. I hate this thing, there is very little give to it. I'm returning it even though I'll hardly get anything back after shipping. (I paid $6 for this piece of crap.)
