Excellent workout,
This review is from: Isokinetics Inc. Brand Water Weights/Dumbbells - 2 Resistance Levels (Misc.)
I used the heavy version of these yesterday and I was really impressed with what they can do. These are the first water dumbbells I have used. I weight 130 and exercise regularly, so I am in good shape to begin with. The heavy resistance model provided me with the level of exercise I would normally do "on land" but since I was in the water the number of muscles I could work seemed to be much greater. It's hard to say exactly, but I think 8 pounds each sounds right if they were regular weights. I think I would need at least 6 pounds equivalent to do any significant workout because I would guess that anything less would not hold me afloat enough, but I prefer these heavier versions because they really give me a good workout. I actually enjoyed using these for workouts and coming up with multiple ways to move them for different exercises. I've had a pool for 10 years; I wish I tried these sooner.

Love using these in the pool to increase resistance to water and give a great workout to arms. Will keep you buoyant too.
