5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Pilates and Exercise Classes
The foam roller is a nice tool to use in Pilates and other execise classes. It can be used to build strength and balance. Foam rollers come in different sizes and colors. They also come in different densities, some are harder and some are softer, these differences are often distinguishable by color but read the product description to be sure.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless Unless it is really High Density Foam
I bought a 6"X36" white foam roller and within a few uses it started to lose its round shape wherever I "worked out" on it. I am not a heavy person (150 lbs) and I used it for maybe 15 min., 3 days a week. I thought it would "come back" - but it never did. I was very disappointed, obviously, because it was useless if it didn't maintain its high density shape. The product...

The product details never stated that there were different degrees of density of the foam (as I have found out now). I went to Dick's Sporting Goods and bought a GoFit red foam roller and it has maintained its shape now after dozens of workouts. I highly recommend that one but don't buy the products shown here.

P.S. A "good" foam roller really does wonders for deep tissue myofascia activation!

1.0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY HALF-ROLLER!, August 25, 2010

Do not buy the half-roller. The full-round rollers are sealed all the way around. The half rollers are full rollers mechanically cut in half. This means that one side is RAW, and thus a snow of plastic dust flies out when you open it, and whenever you touch it. Plastic dust that you can't avoid breathing in.

It's horrible. I am extremely disappointed in this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money., January 3, 2011

Do not buy this product. It is lowest quality of form roller I have purchased.
The form is not high dense enough. it dented after couple of use and does not look good or professional.
Not recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Align the spin, November 23, 2008
This review is from: Foam Rollers - Many Sizes (Misc.)
My husband has a lot of back pain as a result of playing rough sports his whole life. His physical therapist had him lay lengthwise on the foam roller with it in align with his spine. He had him roll from side to side (small motions) between shoulder blades to help relieve spinal pain. Then he had him lay with the roller so it's in alignment with his hips and sit up as he walked his feet forward and the roller rolled up his spine. This strengthens your core muscles while massaging your spine. This is a GREAT product! Make sure you get high density foam though or it will flatten.

This foam roller has totally helped heal my IT band problems. I would roll 10 times on each knee/hip area morning and night and now I'm able to run 6 miles with no knee pain. This is a great value especially for the awesome results you can see almost immediately. The shipping was super quick....! thanks so much for this roller :-)

I am a pilates instructor and use many tools in my teachings. This foam roller works really well for challenging the core. Many variations of exercises are used with the foam roller.

I bought the foam roller and cover to do stretches that prevent IT problems with knees. I love the foam roller. It is nice quality, appropriately firm. I train for marathons about twice per year, and I really like the roller stretches. This was cost effective and nice quality.
