not just a "hater",

This review is from: iSouljaBoyTellem (Audio CD)
1st of all... i kinda like "Kiss Me Through the Phone"... not because it's a well written song, it's garbage, but because after hearing it 5 times within an hour on a road trip u almost hafta like it. That being said this CD sucks. I dont care what anybody says about him doing everything himself, good for him, i respect that but, he's terrible. He (unfortunately) represents the new generation of rap, which is dance beats, dance hooks and mindless lyrics. No matter what is said about how bad it is, people are gonna continue to buy this rubbish because this is what they are growing up with. Anybody who would even attempt to compare NAS to this little kid is a complete and utter idiot. NAS is a legend, Soulja Boy is an easily forgettable artist with about 23 seconds left on his 15 minutes of fame.

The dubious return of hip-hop's biggest embarrassment,
By Glen Zimmerman "RealMenDriveFords" (Lindenwold, New Jersey) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: iSouljaBoyTellem (Audio CD)
Already responsible for the album that has the lowest overall rating of any mass-reviewed album on Amazon, it is the height of gall that Soulja Boy would even consider releasing another one. Unfortunately (but perhaps predictably) everything that made his first album so unbearable has not been shelved for this album. The mind-numbing backgrounds and his immature, monotonous rapping style are as bad now as they were then, and like his first album, much of the general theme of this album revolves around such things as his appetite for money and designer-brand apparel, and his dangerously overinflated ego when it comes to girls. Vulgarity has unfortunately not been forgotten, either. On "Wit My Yums On" several references are made to a certain males-only body part, and "Hey You There" is simply gross. In it, Soulja Boy talks about the supposed joy of smelling his farts, and also about having his "sticky body" licked. And why does just about every song begin with his name being uttered? Everybody knows his damn name already, and I'd really like to forget it, thank you.
Absolutely disgusting from beginning to end.

One Hit Wonders do NOT need a second album!,
By
This review is from: iSouljaBoyTellem (Audio CD)
The best thing about the 80s was that 1 hit wonders KNEW that's what they were, so they didn't try to milk their 5 minutes of fame with 2nd and 3rd albums. This CD is AWFUL. I'm not even sure the first CD was any good, but at least it wasn't a FORCED attempt at turning 5 minutes into 10 minutes of fame. BOO! Don't waste your money. There will NOT be any hits from this CD without a huge push - with money - from the label.

This review is from: iSouljaBoyTellem (Audio CD)
Let me say this the Birdwalk song is pure garbage just like his Crank That! All this little boy is a one hit wonder,a tool being used by the music industry,a gimmick, etc. There are so many emcees out there that deserve a record contract. [........]

Worst album of the year goes to...,
By Sheila (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: iSouljaBoyTellem (Audio CD)
This album is pure garbage. It's like he doesn't even try to make a decent song. His lyrics are so bad that it's embarrassing to listen to. He also repeats himself over and over. He really needs to read a dictionary and come up with new words. A five year old can write a better song than him.
Please don't waste your money on this album. You will be very disappointed.

...this is why hip hop is dying.,
This review is from: iSouljaBoyTellem (Audio CD)
just go away soulja boy. you have no lyrical talent. ice-t called you garbage, so did method man, ludacris and gza. he is such an embarrassment to hip hop. i'll admit he has some beats but thats not on him and plus you need lyrics to have a great song. if you want real hip hop, get blackout 2, the safe is cracked by mobb deep etc and detox whenever that comes out. i hope soulja boys career doesn't last long because its embarrassing.

By ...... (New York ,USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: iSouljaBoyTellem (Audio CD)
Real hip hop heads im sure you are familiar with this guys material so there really is no reason to explain why this album is garbage. To the little kids listening to this BS listen to some artists like eric b & rakim, epmd, gang starr, big daddy kane, canibus, chino xl, onyx, swollen members, and das efx. That is just a few real hip hop artists.
