5.0 out of 5 stars Isra The Butterfly Gets Caught For Show And Tell, April 1, 2001

This review is from: Isra the Butterfly Gets Caught For Show And Tell (Hardcover)
Isra the Butterfly is the baby of her family of two sisters. Growing up in Butterfly land Isra is always protected by her family. One day Isra mother allows her to fly with her sisters to the outside world. Isra mother and father talk with Isra and tell her to be careful and stay close to her sisters. In the outside world there is a day called Show And Tell. What do you think happens to Isra? The author has written a beautiful story with great imagination. There are numerous lessons for children to learn through out the book. This is a must read for all children. The illustrations are awsome! Children will be spellbound by the beautiful pictures. Isra The Butterfly flys with her rainbow colored wings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Children's Book!, May 7, 2001

This review is from: Isra the Butterfly Gets Caught For Show And Tell (Hardcover)
Isra is a young butterfly who wishes to spread her wings and take a trip beyond Butterfly Land to the outside world, where boys and girls live. When her reluctant mother finally allows Isra to go with her two sisters, Kelly and Nicole, Isra flies right into Show and Tell trouble.

This is the premise for Christine Young-Robinson's first children's book, Isra The Butterfly Gets Caught for Show and Tell. Isra The Butterfly is a very charming book. The story flows nicely and it makes for a great book for parents to read to their younger child...or for children up to age 9 to read to themselves. I adored the illustrations by Larry Finney and found that they complemented the text perfectly.

For parents looking for a beautifully-crafted children's book with vibrant illustrations, I would definitely recommend Robinson's Isra The Butterfly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful and charming, June 22, 2003
This review is from: Isra the Butterfly Gets Caught For Show And Tell (Hardcover)
Isra the Butterfly is a delightful and charming book for children ages four to
eight. Isra is young, but wants to play with her older sisters and wants to
leave Butterfly Land so that she can venture out into the outside world.
Warned by her mother and under the supervision of her sisters, she's still
convinced that she can move her wings quickly enough to escape any danger.
Unfortunately, she's not as quick as she believes and is caught and taken to
Show and Tell.

Young-Robinson has given us a careful blend of adventure for the children as
well as lessons on obeying parents. I loved this book and would definitely
recommend it to others. Finley's illustrations are an added bonus to this book
and beautifully portray Isra, her family, and the children in the outside world.
