This is the correct plug adapter for Israel, but the wall sockets there are round, not square like the plug. It worked, but barely stayed in the wall because a square plug rarely fits well in a round hole! If I had some tape with me, I would have taped it to the wall socket for extra insurance. Did the job--the 'trons flowed to recharge my camera battery, iPod and laptop.

Israeli power sockets are now rececessed, and this plug won't fit all the way into the recess, making connection "dubious" at best. If you can, use the "ungrounded" version, or find one that has a protrusion around the pins so it'll fit into the recess properly.

Bought this product for a trip to Israel in fall of 2010. Right kind of angled prongs, but I had the same issue others had - the prongs are encased in a square-ish adapter, while the hotels we stayed in (and these were nice, modern facilities) had a rounded base for the plugs. You know the saying - a square peg in a round hole - well, that's the issue! We had a little bit of work to make sure the prongs had adequate contact, and we were able to recharge computers, cameras, phones. Bottom line, we managed. If I were doing it again, I would see about getting the one with the prongs embedded in a rounded adapter. If you don't like the price for that one - this will do. Best solution - find a friend who has made the purchase and buy theirs at a reduced price or borrow it, unless you plan regular visits to Israel. Great trip, fabulous country! Enjoy!
