HONEST AND DEEPLY MOVING,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Israeli Holocaust Against the Palestinians (Paperback)
AS A JEW AND A STUDENT OF MIDDLE EASTERN STUDIES, I FOUND THIS BOOK TO BE ACCURATE AS WELL A MOVING. SADLY, TOO MANY JEWS FOCUS ONLY ON THE ISRAELI SUFFERING AND COMPLETELY IGNORE THE WEAK AND POWERLESS PALESTINIANS WHO SUFFER FAR MORE. IT IS A MUST READ FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TRULY UNDERSTAND THE CONFLICT AND WHY THE ARABS FEEL SO ANGRY WITH THE U.S. AND ISRAEL. WE CAN NOT STICK OUR HEADS IN THE SAND ANY LONGER, THIS PROBLEM WILL NOT JUST GO AWAY. WORTH THE [money]!!

Facts and Distortions,
By Orchard Gate "pi_eater" (London) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Israeli Holocaust Against the Palestinians (Paperback)
It is surely incumbent on those who seek to decry this book - any book - on the basis of its supposed lack of factual and historical accuracy and absence of supporting evidence to get their facts and their history correct and provide supporting evidence when they depart from the widely accepted historical record. So let's look at some real facts. Did the settlers in the Occupied Territories express their unequivocal condemnation of the murder, by one of their number, of 29 Palestinians at prayer? Hardly. One of their most prominent leaders, Rabbi Ginsburg, circulated a pamphlet in which he said the death of any Arab was "a fortunate event" but that these killings were especially heroic. Jerusalem was festooned with posters celebrating the grizzly deed. Opinion polls showed that 50% of Israelis approved of the mass murder. The Israeli army accompanied the murderer's coffin and the enormous crowd of supporters to his tomb, which is now a place of pilgrimage for many Jews and settlers. [source: `The Gun and the Olive Branch' David Hirst 2003] Was Ariel Sharon cleared of responsibility for the massacres in Sabra and Shatila? Hardly. The official commission of enquiry, the Kahan Commission, held Sharon to be `personally responsible' for the killings. Israeli forces fired flares to illuminate the camps, allowing the killers to do their filthy work and turned away those who tried to flee, sending them back to be killed. [Source: `The Kahan Report' 1983; `Pity the Nation', Robert Fisk 2001] But surely the most disgraceful distortion of all is the suggestion that those who were massacred at Deir Yassin somehow invited their own fate. No serious Middle Eastern scholar has ever suggested that those killed at Deir Yassin deserved their fate. So who should we believe about what happened at Deir Yassin? The victims? What about 12 year old Fahimi Zidan who said "The Jews ordered all our family to line up against the wall and they started shooting us. I was hit in the side ... the bullets hit my sister Kadri [aged four] in the head, my sister Sameh [eight] in the cheek, my brother Mohammad [seven] in the chest. But all the others against the wall were killed: my father, mother, grandfather and grandmother, my uncles, aunts and some of their children." What about the British policeman who investigated the 254 deaths? "Many sexual atrocities were committed by the attacking Jews. Many young schoolgirls were raped and subsequently slaughtered ... a young girl was literally torn in two. Many infants were also butchered and killed." [Source: `Report of the Criminal Investigation Division', Palestine Government 1948.] Or the Head of the Red Cross in Palestine, Jacques De Reynier, who went to the scene immediately afterwards and reported: "I found some bodies cold. Here the `cleaning up' had been done with machine guns, then hand grenades. It had been finished off with knives, anyone could see that. The same thing in the next room but as I was about to leave, I heard something like a sigh. I looked everywhere, turned over all the bodies, and eventually found a little foot, still warm. It was a little It is here suggested that if there was any massacre at all it was condemned by the Jewish leadership. But as well as the terrorist Irgun gang - led, let's not forget, by Menachin Begin, who was elected Prime Minister by the Israelis - the killers were joined by the official Haganah and acted in collaboration with the official Jewish leadership. Indeed a unit of the Palmach - the elite forces of the Haganah - took part in the massacre and one of their own soldiers, Meir Pa'el, gave this written account: "The Irgun and Stern ... began cleaning up operations in the houses. They fired with all the arms they had and threw explosives into the houses. They also shot everything they saw in the houses, including women and children ... twenty five men were brought out from the houses: they were loaded into a freight truck and led on a victory parade ... through [Jerusalem]. At the end of the parade they were take to a stone quarry.... and shot in cold blood" [source: `History of the Middle East' Ted Thornton; `Days of Fire' Samuel Katz; `Who Knows Better Must Say So' Elmer Berger] The Shai or Jewish Information Service reported that those taking part in the `operation' were ordered to kill all prisoners. They were "taken to town in trucks, paraded in the city streets [of Jerusalem], then taken back to the site and killed with rifle and machine-gun fire." The Shai commander confirmed that money and jewellery was stolen from the prisoners and that inhabitants of West Jerusalem "took part in the torture" of prisoners. [Source `Righteous Victims', Benny Morris 1999]. It is a chilling fact that the Head of the Red Cross, was ordered to sign a false witness statement by the Jewish leaders and was told that "if I valued my own life, I had better sign immediately. The only course open to me was to convince them that I did not value my life in the least ..." [Source: `A Jerusalem un Drapeau Flottait sur la Ligne de Feu' Jacques De Reynier, 1950]. Is it to be that the false witness which the killers could not extract even by threatening to kill again, is now proffered by those who seek to excuse the acts of the killers? If this book is condemned by those who resort to such distortion, it must be fully deserving of five stars.

A great book,

This review is from: The Israeli Holocaust Against the Palestinians (Paperback)
Finaly a true book about the Palestinian Genoside. I have read this book two times and I told my friends to read it too. The book teels us about the slow motion Genocide that are news does not want us to know. The book tells us that terrorism started with the Jewish terrorist groups like the Irgum which also assinated THEIR OWN Prime Minister because he was a men of peace. I also reccomend readers to read Micheal Hoffman's other works, and also his web page. Today most people in the West dont know about a few Genocides that happen in the World. Including the Armenian Genocide, the Soviet Genocide (Lenin, Salin, and other Communist leader killed over 40 million Christians) Genocide in Aferica and elswere. I urge all people to read this book and know the truth. Dont belive the media because its controled by the Goverment. And you know who controls the Goverment. Arial Sheron the Isreali Prime Minester and the same person who was found GUILTY by a ISREALI court for War Crimes said in a metting last year the Jews Control America. This is his words not mine.

Factually excellent,

Since the end of WWII the term "holocaust" has been used exclusively to apply to one specific holocaust in history. Thus the title of this book may cause some outrage. However, what can't be denied is that the text contained within is truthful. Even BEFORE the creation of the state of "Israel" in 1948, the "Israeli people" have been waging a war of genocide against the Palestinian people. This book details it accurately and should be read by anyone who wants to know the truth of the matter. (...)

Human rights,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Israeli Holocaust Against the Palestinians (Paperback)
I find it rather amusing that each review criticizing this book begins by brushing it off as garbage, dismissing the issues it is trying to bring up and then immediately refer to it as essentially anti-semitic. I'm not going to get into the politics of a situation that has existed for over 50 years and cost many on both sides their lives, or stoop to an even lower level and use some catch phrase like "tripe" which does nothing to deal with the issues that are being brought up in this book. Palestine is and always will be about the violation of the human rights of one people by another. For those who would like proof, I suggest checking the United Nations web page.

Having read about the Palestinians on the internet and how their story wasn't making it into the mainstream media, I was eventually drawn to this book.
I must say that the title sounded a little overblown. But having read half the book now, I don't think that it does any more. What Hoffman and Lieberman do so well is describe the most appalling atrocities committed by Israeli soldiers, such as shooting and strafing civilians in the towns and refugee camps, the stopping by Israeli soldiers of those who would give medical assistance to the severely wounded who would then proceed to bleed to death on the street. Then you have juxtaposed with these atrocities lies and other untruths by Israeli officials, The New York Times, and our own government, from George W. Bush to Ari Fleischer to Chuck Schumer, which portrayed the actions in Jenin, Ramallah, Nablus, and other places as military actions against militants. Nothing could be further from the truth. These were overwhelmingly wanton slaying sprees of innocent people by the Israeli military. Hoffman and Lieberman are heroes for having the moral courage to write this heart-rending book. This book speaks the truth. All Americans need to know about this. Steven Spielberg should make a movie about this, seeing how he does view the Palestinians as human, something many Israelis obviously do not.

All stories have two sides, an we all know the Israeli one. Let's now hear about the Palestinian version.Good research work, a bit strident at times, but always concise and honest. Much more shocking for Americans than for anybody else, due to the nature of the media in the states.

Fantastic Book About What People Don't Want to Hear...Truth,
By
This review is from: The Israeli Holocaust Against the Palestinians (Paperback)
As usual, the ambulance chasing jews and right-wing neocon Christian freaks are going around whining about what they don't want people to hear...what does it matter to them anyway as they think the world's coming to an end?
I know there are some very good hearted people in the Jewish culture...as there are in any. Finkelstein, Hoffman...etc..will hopefully be recognized one day as human beings who decided that humanity as a whole is more important than what the Jews and Christians are doing to the rest of the world in the name of their own suffering and plight. To all the whiners and complainers....go and enlist in the military and go and fight if you believe so much about what's going on over there....perhaps you'll then learn a thing or two. If you don't have the balls to do that, then I suggest you enlist your children ASAP.

Telling it like it is,

This review is from: The Israeli Holocaust Against the Palestinians (Paperback)
This book speaks truth about the Iraeli/Palestinian conflict, and today that is not-to-be-believed, thanks to the propaganda we are daily subjected to in the U.S. and in the West generally. We have become accomplices to a brutal ethnic cleansing that has been going on since 1948 and will continue until something stops it or the Israelis speed it up into mass murder. Given that U.S. citizens have become disunited and disorganized, a collection of disparate ethnic groups, and thoroughly propagandized, it doesn't look like they will bring about that stop. They will keep sending their hard-earned tax dollars to Israel to continue The Israeli Holocaust Against the Palestinians. Other conflicts in the middle east, where Americans are dying, help serve as cover for the ethnic cleansing in Palestine. Few Americans dare ask whose interests are really being served, and stumble blindly on while their own rights are being swallowed up.

Tel Aviv and Washington ORDER you NOT to read this book!!!,
This review is from: The Israeli Holocaust Against the Palestinians (Paperback)
That's precisely why you SHOULD read it!!
Most American Jews (let alone Israeli's) are enraged by this book, but that's to be expected, as their first allegiance is not to the United States from which their wealth and influence derive, but to Israel a foreign power. With most of the U.S. congress being nothing more than gutless puppets for Israel performing whatever is demanded of them, whether it be giving away on bended knee another $Billion/year of American taxpayers money to Israel, while Israel brazenly flaunts U.N. sanctions, looking the other way while Israel sells top secret U.S. technology to Red China, or making certain American's are blinded and deafened by the media concerning the brutalities of the Israeli/American war machine against Palestinians, is it any wonder books like this are viciously attacked in our country. More courageous people should author books like this and put them into the mainstream as it might help to wake up Americans as to why we are hated by the Arab world, and why we have no real hope for a peaceful existence so long as U.S. Middle East policy is so lopsided and prisoner to Jewish demands. |
