"A Model for Future Preventive Strkes?",
By
This review is from: Israel's Attack On Osiraq: A Model For Future Preventive Strikes? (Paperback)
The title for this review is also the subtitle of this brief book and the author concludes that yes, the attack on Osirak is actually a "benchmark" (his term) for counterprolieferation action. Most interestingly, the volume was published in 2005 with Iran's nuclear program foremost in mind. I was afraid that the reading here would be dated by virtue of the technology used and the geographic accessibility of Osirak. Not a problem because this study is more about decisionmaking, process, diplomacy, startegy and the framework around such a strike. Well worth one's time and "as fresh as tomorrow's headlines."
