5.0 out of 5 stars Valuable resource for ethics
This book is great! I use it for a graduate-level class in Professional Issues (Ethics). The text breaks up the topics and does a great job of providing many examples.

3.0 out of 5 stars good resource, fairly long readings
As my title suggests, this book is an excellent resource. It frequently references most of the major professional organizations for therapy (APA, NASW, AAMFT, etc.). However, the chapters can seem redundant they are so thorough.

4.0 out of 5 stars Review for Issues and Ethics in the Helping Professions, September 21, 2009

This textbook easy to read and understand. It gives many examples and thoughtful exercises. I did check out the website, hoping for more helpful study guides or resources and found it greatly lacking. Overall, I think this textbook is good for any Human Services or Social Work ethics course.

4.0 out of 5 stars great resource, September 12, 2009
This review is from: Issues and Ethics in the Helping Professions (Paperback)
this book is a great resource in understanding the professional and ethical issues within the helping profession. i really enjoyed the many case studies within the book to better understand the issues. each chapter started with an exam that questioned your own values, morals, and ethics. highly suggest this book if looking to get into the field.

4.0 out of 5 stars Readable., November 5, 2006
This review is from: Issues and Ethics in the Helping Professions (Paperback)
Some of the information is very beneficial...having been uncomfortably placed in the situation to deal with the issue of dual relationships. That's just one issue. Sometimes this book is hard to read, because some topics are a little boring, but overall, it's one of the better books I have purchased this semester

4.0 out of 5 stars Reference, July 12, 2007
This review is from: Issues and Ethics in the Helping Professions (Paperback)
Can be a good resource for those involved in a helping profession. Can be a bit vague at times about what the "proper" solution to an ethical professional dilemma should be but still a decent guide book to get you thinking.

This review is from: Issues and Ethics in the Helping Professions (Paperback)
This book is awesome at offering insight to possible situations in counseling. They ask questions at the end of each chapter to get you thinking about how you would handle the situation and if you are even prepared to handle a situation. I enjoyed learning from this book. I highly recommend it to anyone going into a counseling or theraputic environment.
