Another Internet Law Primer,
By A.G. West (Ann Arbor, MI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Issues in Internet Law (Perfect Paperback)
The Internet is not lawless. If you use the Internet you need to understand at least the basic rules. I've read to many forum posts asking simple copyright questions, blog comments harassing others, clueless cybersquatters -- all which can result in large lawsuits.
The book works well as a textbook, reference, and primer for Internet laws. It's broken down into six parts. Each chapter ends with a summary, notes, and quiz.

Top-notch and to the point for the layman,

This review is from: Issues in Internet Law: Society, Technology, and the Law, 2008 edition (Issues in Internet Law: Society, Technology, & the Law) (Paperback)
This is a top-notch book written for the webmaster. Although it deals with the complex legal issues surrounding the internet, it is written in layman's terms and illustrated with "ripped from the headlines" court cases.
Anyone creating a website, blog or overseeing one should read this book first. |
