4.0 out of 5 stars Nothing As It Seems October 10, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This is definitely a locale centered mystery novel. The reader becomes immersed, the n inundated with featured highlights of the surrounding area. A prominent St. Louis physician has been murdered. Everyone has a special memory they store then share about this wonderful doctor. But, is everything as it seems? Often, that is not the case.
Doctor Don Magill is astounded, horrified and compelled to question the double tragedy. Nurse Carol Desmond is equally horrified. Together, they try to follow leads to discover why this murder has happened, then they are suddenly confronted with another murder. The plot is a fascinating weave. The woven tapestry of events slowly unfurl, bleeding out answers in this suspenseful novel. Dark forebodings hover over all.
Imagination works overtime. Life is flipped upside down. It is filled with developing terrors, and blossoming impossibilities. Light sparkles warm up the unreality sense of cadence. When normality disappears, we are stunned, then captivated. Man up, or back down, the art of living totally, has begun.
Everyone is intrigued by the daily inner workings, the complete hierarchy and closed society of hospitals. What is confusing to outsiders is business as usual for those who care for, and maintain our health. When this citadel is threatened, our worlds tremble and shake. This novel feeds the imagination. Well executed. I enjoyed this written work. Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Enjoyable, Well-Written Mystery Novel July 31, 2014
I very much liked this entertaining mystery novel. It reminded me a bit of an episode of "Murder She Wrote" in which Jessica Fletcher solves murders. In this book. several of the doctors and nurses are very likeable, and I enjoyed spending time with these characters, who help to solve the mystery. The St. Louis Tourism Commission would love this book because it features many tourist sites such as the Missouri Botanical Gardens. If you enjoy reading Mary Higgins Clark novels or Agatha Christie novels, you will probably also like this novel very much.
