Editorial Reviews

Yuan Xiangqin (Ariel Lin) is a naive but optimistic high school girl. Ever since she met Jiang Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng) at the freshman orientation, she's fallen in love with the genius with an IQ of 200. After two years of having a crush on him, she finally musters the courage to confess to him at school. Zhi Shu is not impressed, and his cold-hearted rejection immediately turns her into the biggest joke of the school. Misfortune comes in a pair: that evening, the new house she has just moved into with her father collapses in a minor earthquake. She and her father are instantly left homeless. Fortunately, her father's old high school friend extends a helping hand and invites both of them to live at his house. Little did Xiang Qin know that the kind Uncle Li is actually the father of Jiang Zhishu! Because of the unexpected turn of events, the two of them begin living their lives under the same roof. Nothing has ever seemed too hard for Zhi Shu; he's overcome every obstacle in his life with a practiced ease. However, Xiang Qin's appearance is like a tornado, turning his perfectly organized life into a whirlwind of unpredictable events. Despite his initial coldness and annoyance, Xiang Qin's blind courage and determination causes him to re-evaluate and think about his own life and future. Will this be enough to win Zhi Shu's heart? Or will Xiang Qin break down under the full blast of Zhi Shu's coldness?

The package is not only cheap, with the discs in a flappy, paper-thin thing to keep them all together inside the box, but look at the title. "It STARED with a Kiss". The subtitles are also badly done. The main characters' names were often literally translated so I was often left going "What the heck sort of saying is 'River keeps the tree'? Why does it matter? Why do they keep saying it?!"

If you have not seen this well you must watch it

the movie is wonderful i mean to die for.

Xiang Qin is know for being a stupid person but she has charm that would get you worked up a little cause she don't use her brain.
Jaing Zi ShU has an IQ of 200 his smart and emotionless he is good at reading people and don't know how to talk nice them as well
at one point he talked a little to one person only.

But fate has other plans for them things just get wild for them. the mother is so cute with the camera, but this is a cute show to watch

I too agree that this was poorly subbed. I've seen this show years ago online and the subbing was superb. However if you want to watch this and can understand the language without the subs, go right ahead. Otherwise if you don't understand, please do not purchase this version of english subs. I am throwing my copy of this away as I wouldn't want to sell it to anyone to suffer watching the subs.
