They will probably use UPS next day saver, guaranteed by 15:00 the next day. Amazon will email you tomorrow in the afternoon with the tracking number which you can verify on the UPS tracking website. That's how it played out for me with R2. I have GOW2 ordered just like you so I'm hoping all works out the same. By the way some remote areas have a 16:30 guarantee.
UPS does not have same day delivery. Your tracking info should show at at minimum, an origin scan, a destination scan and out for delivery scan followed by a delivered scan. That's what all mine show I get UPS shipments all the time. If you're sure the tracking number is correct and it shows delivered call 1-800-pick-ups they have a more elaborate tracking system to verify what is going on with your package.
I usually have all of those every time I order from Amazon. I'm in Chicago and I have had a lot of packages originate in Chicago. I might wait until later tomorrow to see if it shows up since it is a time-sensitive package.
Some of us have things to do. That's why. I have school. Why come from school then have to go to a store to buy the game, when I can just come home and have the game waiting for me? It's common sense, actually.
Per my previous posts Amazon comes through again. GOW2 shipped on Thursday with scheduled delivery date of Friday November 7th. Cost was 65.00 shipped so same as buying from a B&M if you add the CA tax of about 5.00.
It may depend on your geographical location, and how close the distribution center is to UPS. In the past when I saw "shipping soon" in my Amazon account the tracking number followed in 2-3 hrs. By the way some areas require a signature so if you leave you might want to leave a note saying it's ok to leave the package it could be as late at 15:00.
