First developed in the 1930s, the Spitfire underwent a continuous evolution and improvement of its aerodynamic features, leading up to the release of the Mk. IX in 1942. This Special Aviation Glory Edition "American Aces" kit, contains a highly detailed cockpit, seat detail, intricate landing gear, component options and a large, precision decal sheet, along with a specific painting instructions to complete the aircraft as flow by one of the following Air Aces: Lt.
