From all the material issued since her passing, this is the first comprehensive release of Dalida's Italian recordings. I've collected some from the Barclay period and others from the Orlando years, but never knew there was this much material. Seven full discs of wonderful songs, some only recorded in Italian (I believe) and others Italian versions of her French recordings. This does not get a full 5 stars, as it is not in chronological order, though they try to keep it as close to chronological order as possible. I also found some songs are in French vs. being Italian versions, but there are very few. One is "Bambino" from 1956. With these few flaws, it is a miracle that these songs are now available filling in a large gap in Dalida's recorded history. I only hope that a German collection follows. I believe every French recording is out with the complete Barclay and Orlando CD sets previously issued, plus the great L'Original set from 2002.

Two great covers by Dalida in this set are Un Po D'Amore, the Italian version of Nights In White Satin (Disc 2) and Stivaletti Rossi, the Italian version of These Boots Are Made For Walking (Disc 4).

Finally a coffret that groups all the italian songs by Dalida. This is very precious especially for fans. It's a must have boxset! With "Les années Orlando", "Les Années Barclay" and "D'ici et d'ailleurs"... All Dalida's original work is completed. I hope that we will find good stuff later on...
