4.0 out of 5 stars Glad we bought it, May 7, 2010

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Italian Tomato Press
We bought this tomato press for use with making Blackberry Jelly. It was much easier to render the juice from the berries than using a food mill. We were able to convert 4 quarts of berries to Jelly, completely jared and ready in 2 hours. Of course we think this product will work well with other types of berries and we are looking forward to making tomato products with it. It was very easy to clean. The only minimal problem we saw was some of the juice did run back through the handle but this was minimal. We also found the machine was a much cleaner operation and much easier on our hands. I would buy this again.

Purchased this item to process garden tomatoes because I hate processing by hand. A few cranks and I had puree for making sauce. Seeds and skin out one side...good stuff out the other. Highly recommend for Faux Cooks like me :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Piece of plastic junk, June 16, 2010
This review is from: Italian Tomato Press
Like the title says, piece of plastic junk. I went to make home made tomato sauce. I sliced up half a dozen Roma tomatoes, put them in the press, cranked the handle less then a dozen times, and the handle snapped. Piece of junk, stay away!!!
