Italy A-Z: A Good Introduction for Younger Readers.,
By R. M. McCarthy "R. M. McCarthy" (Rhode Island) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Italy (A to Z) (Library Binding)
I'm not sure why the previous reviewer gave this book such a low rating. The book is not intended as in-depth and thorough look at Italian culture. It is simply an introduction to Italy and its most famous landmarks. To that purpose it achieves that goal beautifully. The pictures are bright and bold. The monuments, landscapes, and scenery are breathtaking. You get all that while introducing your young child to the A,B,Cs. What more can you ask for?

Make your own Italy A-Z instead of this one...,

This review is from: Italy (A to Z) (Paperback)
The choices of words for each of the letters in this book are unimaginative and far too general. Our toddler twins are alphabet-obsessed, so we thought this would be a good introduction or preview before our trip to Italy, but we were extremely disappointed. The only thing from the book they remembered was the leaning tower of Pisa. While traveling, however, we entertained ourselves by creating our OWN Italy A-Z with the kids. Don't waste your money on this one. My First 100 Words in Italian is a MUCH better choice.
