The sony s-series players have a huge shortcoming in terms of the scratches the screen takes even when one touches it, making it necessary to buy a screen protector. This product not only helps in addressing that issue but also supplies many other accessories (like the soft gel cover, USB wall and car charger) making the mp3 player complete in many aspects. Its worth the money one pays for it!

I lost my USB cable and this was a good way to replace it. Car and wall power connectors are nice since I always had to charge it via my computer. Best surprise is the screen protector and case since the screen scratches just looking at it and added protection will prolong the life of the MP3player.

Recommended purchase as long as you know the chargers are flimsyish, lol.

The product is excellent and the shipping was even faster. It was supposed to arrive the 8th of march but I recieved it Feb 18th and i Work half way accros the world from Cali. Whoever rates the quality as poor needs to realize that not everything in the world is made of platinum or gold so stop complaining and just like it.

The silicone case fit perfectly, and I love it.. The other accessories were handy as well.. THe only downfall was the scratch resistant paper that goes on the screen.. It fit perfectly, but the sticky tabs didnt come off real well and it left a residue on the top of it. After a few weeks of constantly rubbing it, it finally came off. I probably could of gotten it off with a cleaner but didnt want to chance ruining my sony walkman at all..

Eight items, you say? For less than forty dollars? Good wow! I couldn't even find a case for my Walkman mp3 player at Best Buy or Walmart. None of the leading retailers had one. So I was forced to come to Amazon. The only problem I have with Amazon is that I can't have the product right now! I love ordering things and being surprised by them, but I hate having to wait - even if it's only until the next day. But boy was I sure excited to get all this great stuff in the mail!

The case fits perfectly and has a neat pattern design on it. Quite handsome. It also fits well and doesn't sag around the bottom like those soft rubber cases you see. Extra sync/charge cable, audio cable, wall and car charger? Good grief, what a great deal!

I did install the screen protector because my screen had the tiniest little scratch on it. I wish I would have ordered this earlier. It is a little difficult to apply, but if you take your time and follow the directions, you shouldn't have any trouble. It does fit the screen of your Walkman perfectly, too. I was afraid it would be a generic square that I had to size cut out. I also have gotten several compliments on the fishbone key chain, which I attached to my laptop backpack. I don't like big key ring things on my keys, but I do like a decoration for my bag!

Overall, I think this is one of the greatest investments I've made to protect an electronic device. And I couldn't be happier.

My biggest beef with the Sony NWZ s545 was that it could not be charged and listened to at the same time. I hated the fact that I had to cycle the battery and destroy it's longevity when listening to it in my Vehicle, which is 90% of it's intended application. Since the battery seems to be unreplaceable. I was expecting to have to replace the whole MP3 unit within 2 years, if not sooner. I got over 5 years out of my old one, and it was the 3.5mm plug receptacle which failed, not the battery.

I also hated that I needed to plug it into my laptop to charge it. I had bought the cradle hoping it would allow it to charge and play music at the same time, but it did not and I returned it.

Now I have another usb 5 volt source I could plug the cord into, and it would indicate it was charging, but after 10 music free hours of it saying it was charging, the battery died.

So I assumed the only way I could charge it was by my laptop, which is hardly an efficient method when travelling long distance in a vehicle.

In short I really liked the sound quality of the Sony, and most of it's features, but the lack of being able to listen to music while charging irritated me each and every day and I cursed the tech who thought this was acceptable.

The other day I misplaced the usb charging and content transfer cable, and decided I needed a back up. That was the ONLY reason I purchased this kit, as it was also cheaper than buying just a cable.

So it arrives today(3 days later) and I pull out the car charger adapter, plug in the cord, plug in the adapter, and plug it into my Sony MP3 which was off with a nearly dead battery. Right off the bat, a "charging" symbol I have never seen before lights up the screen. I press the power button, and not only is it indicating it is charging, but when I press play, my music begins to play.

Unbelievable!

About 2 Music filled hours later I get the battery full message. Now I can save the remaining battery life for when I am not in the vehicle, and always have a fully charged battery when I need it. This is huge!


I have no idea why this works, when Sony's own product specific cradle would not allow charging and playing of music at the same time.


I have installed the case. It fits nicely but is a little difficult to use the volume buttons. I did not install the belt clip, but might. I have not tried the 110 volt wall USB 5 volt source adapter, but I am glad to have it. My screen is already pretty scratched up. I have not taken the screen protectors out of their packaging, yet.

The Light blue fishbone keychain for the cable was not included in the package I received, and I am bothered not in the least by this.


One other thing to note, my old Toshiba Gigabeat's equalizer would be disabled when it was plugged into the provided cradle and was being charged. There was also a slight, but annoying background hum/buzz when it was being charged.

With this kit, there is one fairly loud, but short lived crackle when the car adapter is inserted or removed and no buzzing or deterioration of sound quality.

Edit: The fishbone keychain was hiding in the bottom of the envelope. I am making use of it. I also installed the single provided screen protector. It makes it much easier to see the screen, and the old scratches on the too soft Sony plastic almost disappear. I did not expect better clarity from wider angles, and am happy with this too. However there are adhesive tabs on the protector to make application easier. this adhesive did not want to come off my protector. I succeeded, but did somewhat scratch up the protector in the area where it stuck

Unfortunately, I broke the ciggy plug. It is too fragile. The two halves are not screwed together, just a snapped together/ friction fit, and I hit the usb cable, which split the case in half, and broke the circuit board.

So unable to solder the circuit board back together I came back to order another one and found the price increased a few dollars. Grrrrrrr. Oh well, I need the ciggy plug adapter and bit the bullet, and will wrap the new one with electrical tape so the case cannot split so easily and put all the stress on the circuit board.

Oh, one other thing to note, is that sound quality is not affected when the battery is charging, but when the battery does reach full charge, there is a slight background buzz. This is more noticeable if you have the mp3 volume low and the stereo volume high. With the MP3 at full volume, the buzz is barely noticeable and might be reduced further with ferrite chokes around the cable.

The screen protector is good the skin case is good. I don't understand why the key chain is in the package. Now the BAD I used the wall plug once and the prongs that go in the wall stayed in the wall when I tried to pull the plug. The belt clip Is a bit cheep.
I have not used the car charger yet.

i have used all but the USB car charger and think that they are all a great deal for the price.
the screen protector is a must and the skin case is great protection for this unit. the belt holder is a little flimsy and it will probably break on me but i like the fact that it allows me accesss to the player without having to pull it out of my pocket all the time. the keychain is suppose to be a headphone cable manager, i tried it a couple of times but it was more a pain than it was worth. i had read a review that said that the car and wall charger were cheaply made but i have no problem with these items or their build quality. I'm sure i will get a chance to use the car charger in the future but for now i have'nt.

I am pleased with the gear in this package, especially the Walkman cover and screen protector.

This is an outstanding value. The protective case & screen cover alone costs $20 at Best Buy, but comes along with this product package for a lot cheaper and fits like a glove. I'm impressed with the 3.5 Auxiliary Cable which allows me to jam to my MP3 tunes through my Surround Sound System at home. I was very impressed.
