It was great!,

It has wonderful lyrics. Some artists have songs that don't make any sense, but that is not the case with Becca. She has a wondeful talent that she is using for God's glory. The song "Hands Tied" is so moving. It talks about the loving mercy of the Lord, and how He will love you no matter what you do. I hope this review has helped you.

It'll Sneak Up On You is one of the few Christian albums I purchased in the late '90s that I've gone back to time and again throughout the last fourteen years. Like most Christian albums from the era, it's a bit overproduced; on many of the songs, the backing tracks tend to get far too busy as the song progresses, but Jackson's strong, soulful voice carries the album above and beyond these dated backings. That voice, combined with strong and complex lyrics, make this one of the best Christian pop albums of the decade, and unfortunately one that seemingly nobody listened to.
It's hard to explain this album, except to say it's a style of music one either gravitates toward or they don't. The songs on this album don't have a poppy hook or catchy beat to draw the casual listener in, and these aren't songs you sing along to. Ultimately, this is an album of songs you soak in, that work through you and make you think. It's a shame that we didn't get to hear more from this artist. Its a shame, too, in a music scene crowded with repetitive, simplistic songs made for easy adaptation to a Sunday morning worship service, that musical Christian storytellers like Becca Jackson haven't really found a foothold in the Christian music scene. I can't help but feel that this album would have flourished in an internet age, but its release was just too soon to take advantage of the world wide web. I've often wondered what became of this artist, and never have found out. One can only hope she never gave up singing, even if she didn't release another album, because a voice that powerful is truly a gift from God.
