I have been using the It's A 10 spray for about 6 months, and it is finally almost gone. It really is a great value, since you need to use only a tiny amount to see results.

This is a great detangler. If you like to comb your hair when it's wet, this stuff will make the comb glide right through your hair. It also does a great job of reducing frizz, as advertised. When I use It's A 10, my hair is very soft, shiny, and smooth when it dries.

I can't comment on the heat-protecting ability of this spray, since I don't blow dry or straighten my hair. (The horror!) I imagine it would work well, since it contains silicones and parabens. These ingredients make hair smooth and silky and allow flat irons to glide along the hair easily, reducing the time needed to straighten and therefore (theoretically) causing less damage to the hair.

One word of caution: If you have fine and/or thin hair, you may want to skip this product. It's quite heavy, and if I use any more than a couple sprays, it makes my hair very limp. If you do have fine/thin hair, start with just ONE spray, distribute it with a comb, and see what your hair feels like. You can always add more, but once you've put too much in, there's no going back.

Also, don't expect great results from this spray if you use natural or organic shampoos that don't have sulfates. Those shampoos aren't strong enough to completely remove silicones, so you may end up with a lot of build up, which can also result in limp, lank hair.

Finally, please be aware that no product can repair damage. It's A 10 does a great job of making hair LOOK healthy, but it cannot seal split ends or reverse damage from straightening or dyeing your hair.

I don't normally gush about products, so this is going to sound a little bit like a shill piece written by a salesperson, probably. It's not. I'm probably just talking like a giddy dip**** because I just finished styling my hair with this stuff and I'm a little in shock at the results.

A little backstory: I have mixed-race hair. Highly mixed-race hair (well, and the rest of me), as in my family tree looks like my ancestors got bored and went on a seven-continent sex tour. Unfortunately "Dry, frizzy, and curly" won the lottery as far as hair texture, though when I lived in Louisiana I was fine as long as I got relaxers and touch-ups every few months and used the right products. Cue a move to Chicago, a climate change that my hair didn't like, and three years of going out of my bloody mind trying to keep my hair straight for longer than half an hour. Whether I put the relaxer in myself or had a stylist do it, it never straightened fully; flat-ironing would finish it off, but the second I had to put any type of moisturizer in my hair (and with my hair type, I have to) it would immediately curl back up. Flat-ironing it again did nothing but make it frizzy and crunchy, even using the styling products recommended at various salons. They'd leave my hair waxy, gummy, tangled, partially straightened but mostly just a bushy mess that snapped combs in half like the hungry tentacles of Cthulhu. Not to mention repeated flat-ironing damaged my hair, even using protective products. Wrapping? Nothing. I'd just end up with a funny-shaped 'fro. I can't exactly afford to spend $200 every other day and four hours in a salon for them to go through the whole process for me, only for it to bunch up the second I walked out of the climate-controlled environment.

This is the best leave in conditioner I have found. It doesn't weigh your hair down or feel like you have anything in it.

Love this product on my hair. Texas water really dries out your hair and this stuff helps moisturize it. I also love that it's a detangler. I use it every day!

This stuff really is a 10. I normally don't splurge on hair care products for myself, but when my sister in law gave me hers to sample, I fell in love with it. It makes my hair silky, smoothed out any frizz, and tangles are a thing of the past.

I have very curly but thin, middle aged hair with about 10-20 percent gray. I color my hair at home and use a blow dryer daily. There is some damage from the daily heat and coloring, and the ends are pretty dry. When I spray this stuff on my wet hair, the brush glides right through it. It protects my hair from the daily heat of the dryer, and my hair is so soft that it feels like a little kid's hair.

I love this product and I never want to be without it, but......Being the thrifty person that I am, I started looking around for a cheaper alternative. I tried something called "7" from a beauty supply store because the sales lady said it was just like "It's a 10". Nope. She lied. "7" should be called "Zero" because that's what it was. It turned my hair to straw. It literally felt like rough straw. Ugh.

Then I came across Pantene Repair Light Conditioner. It comes in a spray bottle and you use it just like "It's a 10". WOW! It's wonderful and it softened my hair, detangled it, and took away all the frizz just like "It's a 10" but costs about $3.00 a bottle. I honestly can't tell the difference between the two products. "It's a 10" is a fantastic spray, but it's so expensive. If you can afford it, that's great. But if you need a less expensive, but just as great alternative, give the Pantene a try.
