4.0 out of 5 stars It WAS all about to change
The title turned out to be prophetic, as Tritt's career took off after the release of this CD. Though it followed the same formula of its predecessor (a couple of romantic ballads, a Southern-rocker & a few up-tempo country tunes), the formula DOES work. Though it followed the same formula of its predecessor (a couple of romantic ballads, a Southern-rocker & a few up-tempo country tunes), the formula DOES work. Highlights include the huge radio hits "Here's a Quarter" & "Anymore", as well as Tritt's duet with Marty Stuart, "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'". Southern rock fans will love the scorching "Homesick" which closes things out.

Travis Tritt is great, there aren't many people who have such a range, masterfully singing everything from ballads and classic country to rocking country. He is one of the few who truly has emotion in his voice, highly recommend this cd and any of his to anyone who appreciates talent from a musician.

Its all about to change gave Travis tritt the recognition he so badly deserved. It turned out some major hits The whiskey aint working with marty stuart, Anymore,Heres a quarter call someone who cares,Bible belt,And nothing short of dying.I have a video taped show of the night that Marty presented Travis with a plaque saying hes sold over a million copies of the cd Well, lets take a look at what made this album special. The whiskey aint working is a song about a guy trying to drink away his ex but, the whiskey aint working anymore!Dont give your heart to a rambler is a song about a guy warning a girl thats falling for him not to fall in love with him because he wont stay with her because hes a rambler.Anymore is a good song about a guy that cant hold back his feelings for the girl he loves he cant keep pretending he dont love her anymore.Heres a quarter a song travis wrote about the day he was served divorce papers and his ex trys to reconsile with him he says nope weve gone this far so lets go on through with it so he tells her heres a quarter call someone who cares because he dont anymore!!!Bible belt is about a woman falling into sin in a church with the preacher, and how their sin led a lot of folks a stray but, tritt says its tough when your dealing with the devil! Its all about to change the title track a very well wrote song about a guy fed up with the way his girl is treating him and Travis wrote it himself. So, he gets enough of it and says its all about to change starting now!!!If hell had a juke box is kinda a humorous song about a guy trying to get back together with his ex and she simply tells him to go to hell and he says if hell had a jukebox thats right where i would be! Someone for me is a good song to describe how it feels to want to be with someone and that your tired of being alone.A line in the song says will there ever be someone for me.And to end with a bang is a rocking tune Travis kicks butt on homesick very uptempo the title describes the whole message the song is trying to convey So, i think now you see why it all did change this album boosted tritt into stardom So, if you want a great tritt cd this is definatly the one to get!!!Travis tritts the real deal!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Ecclectic Country Mix, July 23, 2011
This review is from: It's All About to Change (Audio CD)
This is one of the best country cds released in early 90's, as well as one of the best mixes of classic country ballads, honky tonk songs, and southern rock jams. Travis Tritt is the heir apparent of outlaw country, in the vein of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson The man sings ballads as good as Ricky Van Shelton, Alan Jackson and George Strait ("Anymore", "Someone For Me," "Nothing Short of Dying") , country party anthems as good as Garth Brooks or Toby Keith ("The Whiskey Ain't Workin") and jams as Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Allman Brothers ("Homesick", "Bible Belt"). My favorite songs on the cd are "Here's a Quarter," and "If Hell Had a Jukebox," which are pure country with a touch of rock drive. Although this isn't as good as "Country Club," it is still nearly a classic country cd. I would recommend this to any country music fan, and any southern rock fan as well. My only recommendation would be to buy "Country Club" along with "Its All About to Change," or buy "Country Club" first. Either way, you're destined to fall in love with Travis Tritt after just one listen to either record.
