ultimate in funky garage, December 31, 2000
This review is from: It's All About the Stragglers (Audio CD)
I heard 're-wind', then I heard 'woman trouble', and then 'movin' too fast'. I fell in to a state of awe. Out shopping one day, I saw blue..it caught my eye, I saw the name, and no second thoughts. I bought it and thank god for impulse buying! It is the most fantastic album I have bought in a long time, with a variety of beats, styles, vocals and rhythms. Stand out tracks are the opening soulful yet grooving 'think about me', the very garagy dancy catchy 'I can't give it up' (I sing this song for days on end!), as well as the tracks 'please don't turn me on', 'twentyfourseven' and 'we should get together'. Of course we can't not mention the classic of all time 're-wind'. It's an album that I don't think that any dance, lounge or garage lover's collection could be without! Keep grooving people, life is there to grasp!

I havent heard an album with this many goods tracks by one artist in a long time. Featuring the massive UK hits, Rewind, Movin Too Fast, Woman Trouble and Please dont Turn Me On, this is a must have album for any lover of dance or garage music. The rest of the album is of an equal standard showing that the outfit behind this album have plenty more tricks up their sleeves.

The Ultimate UK Garage Album!, July 30, 2011
As I was only a little'un when UK Garage had its heyday, I can't really remember tracks like 'Re-Rewind', 'Movin' Too Fast' and 'Woman Trouble'. It was about 2 years ago when I saw the video for 'Movin Too Fast' on MTV Dance, and it was right up my street as far as music goes. I'm a big fan of 90s music, and that particular track cemented my love of UK Garage, a genre which has sadly faded, although its little brother bassline is becoming ever bigger.
Every single track on this album is a killer. First track 'Think About Me' is like no other song I've ever heard before, and, although it took me a few listens to like it, I knew from the start that it was a quality track. Then I heard 'Outrageous', which, to me, was like heaven in a song! Everything about it is brilliant, old-skool garage beats with an 80s Disco twist, alongside what sounds a bit like Nicki Minaj in the backing vocals. Other standouts for me are 'It Ain't Enough', 'TwentyFourSeven' and 'R U Ready'.
Hands down one of my favourite albums. No competition.
