A record that's like Natalie Cole Unforgettable (except no overdubs) or Queen Latifa's "Dana Owen's" record - great singing, classic songs, top notch orchestra and jazz players.
IMHO the ballads are the standouts, such as The Nearness of You, and Sabora Mi. These are the songs that benefit the most from LaTanya's rich, yet clear voice. When they take it down to nothing but LaTanya and guitar for Sergio Mendez Like A Lover... Wow. If this was the love song in a broadway show this would be the moment where you could hear a pin drop and there would be not a dry eye in the house when it was over.

Great listening music; makes me appreciate Mr. Gershwin's talent even more.
I heard a song (It's a Lazy Afternoon) from this CD while listening to KJazz 88.l; had to fit it into the budget. I immediately searched Amazon and was "listening to the grass grow" within days! Romantic,sensual, fun!

This is a long awaited triumph. Ms. .Hall has been in the background far too long. the vocals are fresh and beautiful. Great romantic dinner music. Move over Michael Buble. There's a new girl in town!
