This review is from: It's All Over (Audio CD)
If you're going to sample one of the songs available in RealAudio format, make it "It's all over." I seem to remember an issue of Maximum Rock 'n Roll or Flipside that had a pretty big feature on them. This was at a time that was decidedly past the prime of the riotgrrl days. Anyways, Squat plays straight-up punk rock, and excuse the clichee, but they are not girly sounding at all, from the instrumental style down to the vocals. They're the catchy pop punk version of Spitboy (uh oh, falling for that girl band comparison trap, shame shame shame.) This is the only album of theirs I'm aware of. Give it a try.
