OK Ladies, if you are looking at this book, you are probably going through a break-up. So, in the words of Lisa Steadman, Congratulations on your break-up! And, I'd like to add, congratulations on finding this workbook. I wish I could give a copy to every woman going through a break-up (along with those who are staying in bad relationships out of fear of going through...

I have been dealing with a difficult breakup from my boyfriend and I did not find this book very helpful for dealing with MY situation. Perhaps this book would have been more helpful when my relationships ended with the jerks I dated PRIOR to my current ex. In my opinion this book is helpful only if you were in an abusive or unhealthy relationship. My exboyfriend treated me well and with kindness. He moved to a new town for his job and it worked out well until he had a hard time dealing with the distance and just stopped calling and texting one day. That is it. One day 10 to 15 txts a day about how awesome I am or what he ate for dinner and then the next BOOM nothing. He had the problem, he did not handle the breakup well, but it is not like there is an easy way to breakup with someone. This book expects you to be angry, most people are angry after they get their heart broken. I do not feel that it gives you enough time to greive your loss and come to a healthy resolution about what happened to you. I did NOT find this workbook helpful and felt WORSE after I used it. I found that accepting the loss was difficult and takes time. I used the opportunity to make my life better and THAT was the only thing that helped me.

OK Ladies, if you are looking at this book, you are probably going through a break-up. So, in the words of Lisa Steadman, Congratulations on your break-up! And, I'd like to add, congratulations on finding this workbook. I wish I could give a copy to every woman going through a break-up (along with those who are staying in bad relationships out of fear of going through the break-up). I know this sounds crazy, but you just have no idea how amazing and meaningful a break-up can be until you've gone through it with the help of Lisa Steadman. If you don't believe me, try it.

If you are anything like I was when I was going through my recent break-up, you have that horrible pit in your stomach, overwhelming anxiety, deep sadness, anger, a million questions, and "break-up ADD" (can't concentrate on anything). You can't sleep and the bags under your eyes could fit a week's worth of groceries (but you have no appetite). Well, I am here to promise you (yes, I really do promise!) that it does get better, even better than you are imagining right now, and this workbook is the key not just to surviving your break-up, but thriving. I don't know a less cheezy way to put it. Lisa Steadman's workbook will be your biggest cheerleader, guide, teacher, and friend, as you heal your wounds, remember what an amazing woman you are, and realize how great life can be without him. This workbook not only shows you how to "rock your recovery", but also how to do it in a short period of time so that you can get on with soaking up all that life has to offer. And my favorite part is that in the process of becoming all that you are, you are preparing yourself for nothing short of an amazing love the next time around, which gets me so excited! But, in the meantime, I am relishing my time that is all about me, guilt free, and wondering when I ever even had time for a boyfriend.

So, if you don't want to keep going through the horrible pain of break-ups only to find that you keep ending up in the same place (I've been there and don't want to go back!), I highly recommend this workbook along with the companion book. It made all the difference in the world for me, and whenever one of my girlfriends goes through a break-up, I will be there armed with Lisa Steadman's book and workbook in hand.

I saw another review written here and I thought I would say too that I didn't harbor THAT much anger toward my ex. Just some sadness that it was over. He was a good guy and let me down gently. It just HURT a lot. I, too, think that if you ex was a real jerk that you should get it. Otherwise there are some other books out there that will help you get over a good relationship too.

This workbook has been a true gift and could not have arrived at a better time for me. I love how Lisa Steadman acknowledges and incorporates into her workbook that it takes 21 days to break a habit and conveniently, this book has a 21-day plan. The author never made me feel bad about myself if I didn't fully complete that day's goal; as a matter of fact, she encourages even baby steps and acknowledges that EVERYONE will have a setback (or 2 or 3....). This book is a MUST read for anyone going through a break-up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fresh, Fun, and oh-so FAB!, May 13, 2009

Lisa Steadman does it again! With the signature sass and style we -- her #1 fans -- have grown to cherish and cheer, Lisa's rockin' Workbook leads us out of the painful, treacherous, confusing world of being broken hearted and into the empowered, fabulous life we deserve...and have always dreamed of.

No one rocks the relationship space like Lisa, and this book is no exception. She talks to us like we're her closest girlfriend, she knows exactly what we're going through, and she's determined to help us get through the rough patches with maximum moxie. Her edgy advice and no-b.s. insight serve it straight up, with enough humor and compassion mixed in to make it exactly what we need to get out of our own way once and for all.

Here's what I love best. Lisa's 21-day Action Plan isn't just a "workbook." It's a solid SYSTEM that goes way beyond breakups and helps us play our A+++ game -- in love, friendships, and LIFE.

Thanks, Lisa, for caring so much about us chicks, and for kicking sooooo much bootie, too!!!
