Fun Fearless Females Unite!,

This is a great lil' read about female bonding. I do agree with another reviewer who stated some of the stories are 'tame' and I have done much wilder things with some of my girlfriends. HOWEVER this book will remind you of your favorite tight-knit group of gals, and perhaps inspire you to take more 'girl-time' with them. It's an enjoyable, quick read.

I felt like the designated driver,

This review is from: It's a Chick Thing: Celebrating the Wild Side of Women's Friendship (Paperback)
My book club read this book and we disagreed with the majority of Amazon reviews of this book. Comments from my club ranged from "I felt like the designated driver" because we couldn't see what was so funny about most of these alcohol-driven scenarios - to comments such as "it was depressing" to read story after story of these life-long friendships when you couldn't feel a part of any of these groups. Some of the things that happened between the friends weren't things that we would want our friends to do to us. In one story, a so-called best friend had sex with the other friend's love interest in the back seat of a car, while the unsuspecting friend waited in a building, wondering what was taking her friend so long. When she snuck up on her friend having sex in the car with her love-interest, she wasn't even upset. She was more concerned about not seeing the two of them naked. I agree with one other Amazon reviewer in her comment about the stories being mostly geared toward women in their 50s-70s who used to have a good time with the gals. As a 33-year-old, most of the stories were hard for me to relate to. This book wasn't anything that I expected. I wish I had someone to give the book to who would enjoy it, but I can't think of anyone I can pawn it off on.

Its a chick thing was a great look into the lives and laughs of friends--you've done it, you wished you had done it--you can laugh at the chicks that did it! I've given it to all my special friends who can share a good laugh and dose of reality. Being a chick is ageless! Must read!

I loved this book! The stories were so entertaining, they were told by all ages of women, so that all women could relate to each of the stories. I have sent this book to six of my girlfriends, and each one has called and thanked me for this absolutely entertaining book. We talked about all of the crazy things that we did as girlfriends, and renewed old ties. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

A refreshing and fun view of women's relationships! I thoroughly enjoyed each story, especially that some were written by famous, some by younger and some by older women! The book made me laugh out loud and it inspired me pick up the phone to call friends that I have not spoken to in a while to rekindle old laughs and set the stage for new adventures. There is nothing like a good group of girlfriends to have fun with! I recommend this book as a gift to all your "Chick Friends"! It will add spark back into your life!

Too Much Fun,

This review is from: It's a Chick Thing: Celebrating the Wild Side of Women's Friendship (Paperback)
I knew that I was going to like this book just from reading the title. Right now there are so many books that try to capture the bonds formed between girlfriends, but this one truly makes its mark. The personal anecdotes featured throughout are both amusing and touching. I can see many of my own friendships with girlfriends in this book. If you want some fun right now, read this book.

You Go Girls!,

Initially I thought this would be a book that would just have some cute stories. I was truly surprised at the emotions this book brought out. I read the book cover to cover with tears of laughter and sorrow coming down my face. Nothing beats your group of chicks and how you bond through boys, illness, triumphs, and hijinks. Loved it! Will be a gift for all the chicks on my list this year! - Meg

The most fabulous book of all time!,
By A Customer
This review is from: It's a Chick Thing: Celebrating the Wild Side of Women's Friendship (Paperback)
In my totally unbiased opinion this is the best book ever! Alright, a little biased, as I am a contributor...The stories are great, and the fun little sidebars are the best. What other book helps you figure out your Catholic Schoolgirl or your Partygirl Name, along with friendly tips on getting rid of unwanted men in bars? Amy and Emily, you have done a great job!

This is a fabulous book on "from the heart" stories about women. In a world thats so fast pace, true friendships are hard to keep and cultivate. This book will bring a smile to your face a remind you of all those wonderful moments you've shared with friends! Thanx Miss Ame for letting "us" be apart of her adventure!
