What can one say about this CD? The music is simply beautiful, soulful, and addicted, all in the same breath. I can't stop listening to this CD. If you are looking for a CD to put on for the holidays for the sophisticated crowd that loves real music with heart, this is the one to put on. The entire CD is on point. This CD showcases Ledisi in her finest form from R&B to spiritual to jazz. Don't miss out on this experience.

I first heard Ledisi on the movie "Leatherheads" and it was love at first sight and sound. She's bound to be an R&B diva for years to come. And instead of giving us a re-tread album full of traditionals, she's got five brand new songs for her holiday CD.

"Thank You" is a paean to gratitude and joy. You will be smiling through Christmas traffic jams if you put this song in your CD player.

"I'll Go" is a hymn of joy and dedication (or rededication). The choir backing this song has the most gorgeous tight harmony I've heard in a song time.

"Give Love on Christmas" is a slow groove that's going to be another romance special.

"Be There for Christmas" is a song about celebrating love. It will make you want to get up and dance!

"This Christmas (Could be the One)" is the song full of longing for a lover far away.

All of these songs are music you are going to hear year after year. I suggest you get this CD and learn them all now. You're not going to get tired of them.

I have a collection of 125 Christmas CDs from all genres of music. The season doesn't start in our home until the first 10 are played, led by BeBe and CeCe Winans' "First Christmas". Next year, Ledisi's takes first place !! This CD is soulful, cheerful, reverent, and a soon-to-be classic.

This cd is simply AMAZING! There are so many "favorites" on this cd, it could make you schizophrenic...musically, that is!!! Ledisi's vocals are incredible and match every song chosen. It's the type of cd that you put on and enjoy from first song to last! It almost feels like a Ledisi show right in your own living room or car. There's so much heart in these songs, I can't even explain. I know it's September, but I'm definitely buying a copy for everyone I know as gifts...SERIOUSLY! I know it will be their favorite gift this year!!! Excellent job, Ms. Ledisi!

This is an instant classic. I can't put this CD down. This sista is soooo talented. It's like Rachelle Ferrell meets a Boyz II Men Christmas LOL...This CD is truly a journey of musical talents that so gladly took me for a ride. Fella's if you want music to put your significant other in the mood then there is no need to go past this stop. Talent like this doesn't come around often so appreciate it while you get it.

Regardless of being a HUGE Ledisi fan, her Christmas CD is just beautiful; it's just what you need with your twinkling Christmas tree, cozy fireplace and happy eggnog. From start to finish her smooth, elegant voice just takes classics like Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and What Are You Doing New Year's Eve to another level! And I can't get track 5 (This Christmas) out of my head. Please believe, you will not be disappointed; this CD will make your Christmas brighter!

I knew this would be a 'keeper' for my holiday play list. Every song is refreshing with her twist on the Christmas standards. And she has Teddy Campbell on drums on all but 3 selections. Ledisi is 'WOW'on all 12 selections. Get this for the season.If you love Ledisi, you can't just listen to this in December.

Ledisi's It's Christmas is the best Christmas CD that I've heard in the last few years! The CD is superb! I am going to be a fan of Ledisi for a very long time. Her musicianship is outstanding bringing thoughts of Cassandra Wilson doing Donny Hathaway: smooth and jazzy, scatting, church roof raising vocals, all wrapped in a the prettiest Christmas present ever.

If you know Ledisi's music then you are aware of her most unique and unmistakable signature. She signs this CD with such joy and glee it leaves the listener breathless. You will love the way Ledisi dots her I's and crosses her T's. [This will make a wonderful addition to your library.]
She lets you know, "It's Christmas."
