best rock album ever,
By Alice Bowie "Jim" (west tejas) - See all my reviews

this record kicked when I bought it 20 years ago and it still does today. The guy in Dnver sounds like a disgruntled friend or somone from a band that never got out of town. Axis was Rock and Roll. Like most great art however it is totally overlooked. Jay Davis is the best bassist in the land! I can turn up "Soldier of love" at a party today and people want the cd, its that good.

OLD SCHOOL HARD ROCK!,

I actually have this album on vinyl, I got it when it was originally released. I was in my favorite record store browsing and the owner slapped this bad boy on and when I heard the opening drum riff on Armageddon I was hooked! It is a very good old school hard rock album by some good players. I love the production. For me, they don't make them like this anymore. If you like good power trio hard rock, you'll like this!

I saw these guys open for Judas Priest at the starwood in santa monica back in 78-79, they kicked major but!!!!,the screaming guitar of D. johnson and the tightness of the bass and drums of j. davis & v. appice were superb. We meet the guys when they were playing local clubs in Riverside, ca back in 80-81 they just totally looked burn out, but I guess that just the biz! These guys had strong vocal harmonies and were in the process of making a new record but never transpired. These old rockers were just that, rockers, they did it and did it well!! Circus world was a true classic record and 20 years I still enjoy putting it on, and finally found it on CD.
