It's been too long since the very beautiful and talented Sarah Michelle Gellar has graced our television screen. She is back now, better than ever, in this very complex, wonderfully dark new show.

For those of you who don't know, Sarah Michelle plays twins - Bridget & Siobhan. Bridget is the estranged twin who has a history of stripping and substance abuse, who is the witness to a brutal crime that has her fearing for her life. Her sister Siobhan is the privileged New Yorker who seemingly has the perfect life - a successful, wealthy, attractive husband; tons of money, great friends and a beautiful home.

Bridget and Siobhan clearly are strained; from the looks of it, something happened to drive a wedge between the sisters (which has yet to be revealed). However, they have mended ways enough for Bridget to get the offer to stay with Siobhan in New York. On a boating trip, while Bridget naps, Siobhan disappears overboard and is presumed dead. But only Bridget was there, so she is the only one who knows this. Grieving aside, she figures stepping into her sister's shoes, her sister's life, will help her hide from those out to kill her. She easily slides into Siobhan's life.

You know what they say about the grass being greener? Well, be careful what you wish for. It turns out that Siobhan's life was anything but carefree. Bridget realizes that her sister's marriage was in shambles; her stepdaughter hated her; she was sleeping with her best friend's husband; and, worse of all, someone is trying to kill Siobhan as well.

This show is very dark, which I love, and very well written. The surrounding cast, although small, is equally wonderful. I can say that this show is much deeper, much more complex than it may be given credit for.

I ran across this show while flipping through channels and seeing Sarah Michele Geller made me stop. I was intrigued by the premise of two identical twins - one proper and good with the other wild and bad - who finally reunite years after a tragedy. I thought it showed promise but the soap opera overtures and the cheese-y back drop while on the boat made me cringe. My interest was hooked by the idea of assuming another person's life.

The Pilot - We are introduced to Bridget, an ex-alcoholic who sobered up quick after witnessing a murder and agreeing to turn State's evidence against a powerful thug. Bridget has second thoughts and runs away to her identical twin sister, Siobhan, who lives a ritzy life in NYC. Apparently, Siobhan has forgiven Bridget for the death of her young son which occurred before her marriage to a wealthy financier. A husband who she cheats on with her best friend's husband....the plot thickens but I hold out hope that it doesn't go too far down this soap opera road of crazy. Of course the cop who was working with Bridget to get the local thug has tracked Siobhan down, looking for any leads to Bridget. But Siobhan is really Bridget because when Siobhan and Bridget went for a bonding sister boat trip, Bridget fell asleep and Siobhan committed suicide by drowning herself. Okay, we're back in serious soap opera territory but it's not as bad as it seems, I think. It ends with Bridget as Siobhan waiting for her best friend but being attacked by a masked man with a gun who ends up dead. Holy cliff hanger.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this show evens out and concentrates on the intrigue and gets away from the crazy soap opera aspects. There are so many interesting story lines (is the Killer after Siobhan or Bridget? What is Siohban up to?

As a grown woman, the CW channel held absolutely no appeal for me. Until I saw Ringer..I tuned in every Tuesday night to catch this thrilling show. It's a true drama, and has a bit of the old "film noir" feel to it. I can't believe they cancelled it. HUGE mistake. I will never watch this station again.

Bridget Kelly and Siobhan (prounounced Shi-bon) Martin may be identical twins, but they couldn't be more different. While Siobhan leads an upscale lifestyle as the glamorous wife of a wealthy man, Bridget is a recovering drug addict and witness to a recent murder. But when Bridget discovers that Siobhan has gone missing in an apparent drowning, Bridget steps into her glamorous shoes as an escape from her own flailing life. But one thing the two sisters do have in common is secrets that run deep and significant resourcefulness.

So, admittedly, the premise is a bit difficult to swallow, but that doesn't mean it isn't intriguing to watch. This show has so many twists and turns, that the viewer is taken on a rollercoaster ride where you never see the next drop coming. And it's a heck of a fun ride!
