Damm Right, I Got The Zydeco?,

Zydeco? Heard it before, never paid too much attention. I saw her live last night at a small club called Blind Melon's in Pacific Beach, CA. I only had money for one of her cd's or I would've bought all five. Great lyrics, and a great band, including a 15 year old drummer.

I saw Rosie Ledet last week at Tipitina's, in New Orleans, and she was just fantastic! This CD is great, her music is very strong, but don't miss a chance of seeing her live. It's pure energy, a mix of African-American, French, and Lousianian cultures, with the right spice. Great lyrics. And too bad the pictures on the CD don't do justice to her.

a wonderful blend of soul,real r&b,beach music,and zydeco...what truly surprises is the outstanding musicianship of the band,and the cover of "don't let the green grass fool you" is killer....

This is the most exciting performer I've heard in years. How often does one find an album where every single song is as good as the others? This is that rarity. Zydeco at it's very best. Popular American music at it's very best.

This woman blew my mind at the 2000 Jazz Fest. The best thing to happen to Zydeco since the Doopsies. Don't miss it. You'll be sorry!
