Best book a kid could read, helps them for life,
By A Customer
This review is from: It's A Habit, Sammy Rabbit! (Paperback)
Every parent should get their child this book. In such a fun story, they learn lessons that most adults don't even know: 1) savings money is excellent, 2) reading can be fun and interactive, and 3) a rabbit in overalls is darn cute!

Easy to Understand,

I bought the book for my granddaughter who loves to read. Thought it would be good for her to learn how to save. After reading the book, she has been saving part of her allowance instead spending it all. The book was easy for her to understand and she enjoyed it very much.

Thank you for your wonderful book! My 2 daughters who are 5 and 7 kept asking me to read it to them over and over. They and I love the great illustrations and colors. With finances being a major concern in our life, I am all for teaching my kids about how to manage their finances at an early age. Thank you again, great job! Waiting for the next book! Sincerely, J. Delightful,

This is a delight and long over due! Where was this book when I was a kid? The author does a terrific job at broaching the subject we as adults often find boring and difficult to due--save. The illustrations are wonderful. My kids love this book. We found it to be both touching and fun.

Sammy's Cool,
By Christine (United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: It's A Habit, Sammy Rabbit! (Paperback)
My daughter loved this book! She hasn't tired of it yet. She says Sammy is "cool" and loves guessing the chapter titles. I would recommend this book to any parent who wants to introduce or plant the seed of saving in their child's head. I wish this book was around when I was a child. Wonderful!

Want to encourage your children to save? Read them this book,
This review is from: It's A Habit, Sammy Rabbit! (Paperback)
My mission statement is to bring Wall Street to Main Street by showing how easy it is to make money in the stock market. The one comment I hear most often is "why don't we teach our children to save and invest?" Well, here it is! Sammy is the hero of the story when he saves his family with his "little secret" - his savings! The story is delightful, children get to guess the title of each chapter as it's read and the illustrations are bright and happy! I am happy to applaud this team of young visionaries in their quest to educate, motivate and entertain our children.

Great classroom tool!,

My students have enjoyed this story year after year. Having the author come into the classroom during it's revision stages has been a treat as well. This story was interesting to them in both second and fourth grades. It held their interest and reinforced the idea of saving. I would recommend it as a supplement to your teaching as well as reading in the home. It sparks great conversation about money with the students.

In It's A Habit, Sammy Rabbit!, one in a series of books featuring this happy-go-lucky bunny, Sammy learns from his grandmother that saving some carrots every day is a prudent habit that can really pay off in the future. When a bad storm washes away the family's shed, Sammy learns firsthand just how valuable his stash of carrots has become.
Author Sam X Renick, a financial educator, has written a series of books featuring different lessons that Sammy Rabbit learns about saving money and developing smart money habits. The It's a Habit company also has several music cd's with catchy songs across different genres that can energize children to start earning and saving money in innovative ways. In a market where financial literacy books for children can come across as dry and didactic, the Sammy Rabbit books and music cd's can engage with children and get them interested in becoming financially literate, a major first step toward a lifetime of sound practices associated with saving, spending, and investing.
