I liked this book because it helped me in a practical and inspiring way to learn to enjoy life and not be so hard on myself. The stories and adventures in the Middle East were mind-boggling and exciting. It's a Happy Life combines two paradigms - happiness and difficulty. But in the end, it makes a compelling case for living the happy life! An easy and entertaining read, I am going to recommend this book to all my friends.

The book 'It's a Happy Life' caught me by surprise. These true life stories are of a family I have met personally in 2004 while traveling in Turkey. Putting into print his own life adventures in a country where he and his family are still at risk, is not the average story written after escaping to a safer country. They are still living there! The unusual adventures are woven together in a simple and direct fashion using motivational language and inspirational quotes that highlight the secret to his happiness. Success, the topic at the heart of many motivational style books, is replaced in this book by Happiness. The steps to happiness are related in simple and easy responses arising out of every one of his difficult and often frightening life experiences. It challenged my heart attitude to move forward and not retreat from life or the unfinished destiny crying out to be completed in me.
