5.0 out of 5 stars The People that blast this CD are so Wrong!!
This CD has just grown on me since I bought it. Last I knew, this band was defunct, Tina was singing with the remakes of Dubbl Trubbl, and doing a pretty decent version of Susan Tedeschi's In the Garden. This Chick can belt em out with soul. Listen to the title song, In My Own Time, Grey, She's Undone, and perhaps the best song on the CD - No Holdin' Back. I first was...

3.0 out of 5 stars B-Effort from the B-Sides
Although this likely to draw the fire of legions of fellow Tina and the B-Sides fans, I found this album to be a real let-down after "Salvation." There are a few gems on the album, but it's a B effort from the B-Sides. The stylistic departure is a walk on the weird side -- and reminds me of REM's style stumbles a couple of years ago. Stick with the older...

I first was introduced to this band as the backup band for a Jonny Lang concert, I had to go out and buy at least one CD. Glad I did, this band was as outstanding on cd as they were live, which I think is a rare feat. This is one of those CD's where you won't find yourself just wearing out one song. I actually like every song on the cd. I don't know why they didnt get as big or bigger than, say, Alanis Morissette. I was a big Tina fan, though and I think a lot more people would be if they heard her music. She changes tempo well, and the gravelly/raspy quality of her voice is not overdone, very natural, and really works for me. She can get very bluesy, or do very up-tempo, driving rock. Either way, her very capable band stays with her well, and this CD is well produced, preserving her gutsy, rootsy brand of rock/blues. If you don't agree with this review, then you are "Nobody To Me."

5.0 out of 5 stars It's all just the same is anything but, December 8, 2002
This review is from: It's All Just the Same (Audio CD)
This is the best album I have ever bought. It incorporates several musical styles and really is full of emotion and good old fashioned rock-n-roll music. You have to listen to it to understand. Tina has an amazing voice and it's a shame she's not plastered all over the radio and MTV because everyone should be so blessed to hear her voice. THis album just draws you in and never disappoints.

A friend of mine from Minnesota said; "You gotta hear this CD". (Proper accent required, not that Minnesotains have accents) She was right, You Gotta Hear This CD. This is my first introduction to Tina and the B-Sides, and I can only say, I'll be looking for the rest of the CD's. The tune "In My Own Time" reminded me, of all people, of Bob Dylan, but from there is was all unique, and great listening. I am looking forward to more. Okay, well, that's about it, ya know?

4.0 out of 5 stars A CD Must, October 13, 1998

If you've never heard of Minneapolis-based band Tina and the B Sides before, here's a CD to start out with! With music that ranges from bluesy to all out rock, Tina and her band are an extremely talented bunch. Although the production on this CD is lacking at times, overall this is a classic!

Tina is one of those bands that have been around for so long is still waiting for the recognition they deserve. Their last album, however, was maybe a td bit better than this one. 'Salvation' was a great album all around. This one is great too, but it does not seem to be as consistent. Still, check out the both of them and whatever you do, see them live. Nothing is better than that.

4.0 out of 5 stars A must Have for any Tina lover!, March 11, 1999
This review is from: It's All Just the Same (Audio CD)
Tina and the B-Sides have done it again with this CD. Its full of the funky "tina style" songs that I have come to love! Although my favorite Tina CD is still Monster, this is also one to add to any CD collection.
