5.0 out of 5 stars Lived up to the expectitaions that were set for it!
This is the sequal of the first book in The Diary Series, Diary of a teenage girl. As you very well know, sequals to any origional book (or movie for that matter) have much to live up to. The second in a series must either meet, or exceed, the job done on the book/movie that came before it. I honestly find that this book has gone beyond the expectitations that were set...

I feel that *teenage girl*'s main purpose was for the reader to get to know the characters. Without giving away the entire plot, in this book some very intense things begin to unfold. I HIGHLY recomend this book for any young adult reader (not limited to girls), and can almost promise you that you will gain a significant amount of insight into everyday problems that teenagers are forced to deal with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Faith or Friendship, April 24, 2006

This book, It's My Life Diary of a Teenage Girl, is a true test to see if Caitlin can remain loyal to God, while trying to maintain her friendship with Beanie. After making a few new commitments to God, Caitlin realizes that dating is just not something that she wishes to take part in. She sees one of the results from dating every day when she looks at Beanie, and just wonders how in the world is that girl every going to be able to raise a child on her own. Among all this friendship trouble Caitlin is also helping out with the planning of a missionary trip to Mexico. Read this book to find out the shocking truths of a teenage girl.
This is a great choice to read for any teenage girl. This series is one of the best that I've ever read. Once I get started reading I just can't seem to it down for hours. You can take situations from the book and relate them to your own life very easily. Again, this is a great book if you enjoy reading Christian fiction and are a teenage girl.

4.0 out of 5 stars My Life, My Decisions, February 10, 2006
If you like the first book, Diary of a Teenage girl, then you will love It's my life. It will probably answer all your questions all of your questions about the first book. Caitlin is now working at her dad's office. She is raising money for her trip to Mexico. Beanie is not herself because of her pregnancy, and she doesn't want to do any thing with Caitlin. Caitlin is becoming friends with Andrea. One day Beanie was babysitting for Steph's son and he ran in front of a car. Beanie ran after him so he wouldn't get hit, but Beanie got hit instead. When she went to the hospital they found out that she lost her baby. Caitlin felt so sorry for Beanie, she went to visit her every day. That's when Caitlin got the idea that her church should give Beanie a scholarship so she could go to Mexico with their youth group. When they went to Mexico they had a good time until they went to the dump. All the kids there were dirty and hungry. Caitlin felt so sorry for them that when she got back she set up a fund for the dump kids. After school started, Caitlin and Jenny became friends again. That's when Caitlin found out that Jenny has anorexia. What will happen next? You have to read the book you find out.
My favorite part of the book is when they go to Mexico. It was amazing how the explained the kids. The part of the book that I disliked the most was when Caitlin found out that Beanie lost her baby.
I would recommend this book to people that want to get closer to God. It you like books that have real like situations then this book is for you. I hope that you read this amazing book.

A Kid's Review
Melody Carlson continues her captivating writing in It's my Life: Diary of a teenage girl (book 2.) This book was just as wonderful as the first. Caitlin O' Conner's life never stops being interesting. She has many temptations with her new religion and has problems with her friends. In this novel Caitlin's church youth group goes on a mission to Mexico and there she feels she found her purpose in life, helping others who are less fortunate than her. This mission changes her views on a lot of things and will change yours too. Melody Carlson sucks you in and keeps you in till you reach that back cover and that's when you go buy the next book in the series. Any teen girl will love this book because we can all relate to Caitlin's life. That is why I give it 5 stars, but you must read all of the books in the series in order to get the full effect. But, trust me you'll want to read them all once you've read one.

"Is it just me or is this world going totally nuts?...." Or so begins the life story of Caitlin O'Conner, the main character in the book It's My Life, by Melody Carlson. This magnificent story captures the thoughts and issues of a teenager's struggles to follow God's pathway. "Dear God, show me what you want me to do about things like string bikinis and the like. And show me how you want me to live." (Page 13-Carlson) This quote shows how Caitlin turns her troubles to God in order to achieve peace of mind. Also, it portrays her newfound faith- Christianity. Overall, this book was a great way to convey what teenagers are faced with in today's world.

This a totally awesome book that I think all teens and even adults should read.I have read and reread this book thousands of times and each time I am drawn to the characters, plots, etc. As I traveled down the road with Caitlyn's friends Beanie and Jenny,I frequently found myself crying because Melody Carlson just like brings you into her character's world and it's like you are walking beside them through each chapter!! So I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested! And her 1st book in this series is also very good but I would give this 2nd one a better chance!! And I defenitly think she could keep adding more books to this series!!

I just want to say to the agnostic reader: If you hate the books about Caitlin and you doubt Christianity, why do you read them? Please rethink your views. I am a Christian and I love church! Jesus is the best Person you could ever meet if you would just submit to Him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sequels have a lot to live up too...., January 14, 2012
This is the second book to the teenage girl Caitlin series. As you guys know, sequels can be very shifty and they have a lot to live up too. The second book of this series I think is to delve deeper into Caitlin and her friends. The second book has lived up to its expectations and more. I loved it. And I think you will too. I highly recommend this book for any person who knows a teenager who is going through everyday problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awsome Series, April 1, 2009
This is an awsome series and I reccomend reading all the caitlin books and in order. I like how they are christian based, have a good story line and teach good morals. The caitlin series follows a girl from high school through college and eventually marriage. I am 19 and read all 5 books during my fall semester at college.
