I pesonally think this remix track kix much bottom. The rap style combined with house is just so live that they couldnt have got a better person to remix it'

I am by no means a fan of rap music or Run DMC's music (although I do have an immense respect for them as artists). One of my favorite remixes of all time though is the Jason Nevin's remix of Run DMC's "It's Like That". The lyrics are definitely in your face. Lyrically the song is quite serious. Run DMC is telling the listener what life is like in Queens, NY. I remember first seeing the music video back in 1997 and I just flipped over the remix. It had a huge sound to the song. I have heard the original version and didn't think much of it. It was okay but I like the big house sound that Jason adds to the song. The beats is so in your face you just can't help but groove to the song. I didn't really think that the Drop the Break mix and Jason's Battle Blaster mix sounded really different. If you really listened to each song carefully you can certainly hear the nuances but otherwise there wasn't any obvious differences. That is my only issue with the two allegedly different mixes. I still love listening to this song to this very day.

This single is awesome. I know that they are old, but Run DMC did a good job.
