Snapping bass,

I love "Ahmad's Blues" for example -- I've nothing against his playing. But this recordinghas that loud snapping bass I prefer to keep in funk recordings from Parliament. It's just too annoying to get past to hear what I'm sure is good piano playing.

Ahmad has been absent for some time. This new piece of work has re-introduced his style and energy to a new generation. Hopefully, Ahmad will continue to introduce new music more often.
