These are 3 short Christmas novellas. They are all about finding love. I liked Boxing Day but Christmas at Farley Manor and Mischief and Mistletoe I enjoyed more. Conn in the first story was a boxer his love was Nell. Christmas at Farley Manor is about a solider Harry Tate that meets Elizabeth in a church. He has just lost his mistress in childbirth. He talks Elizabeth in marrying him to take care of the child,He has to return to war and he thinks he will be killed and they will never see each other again. The last story is Mischief and Mistletoe Emma has been betrothed to Lucien and loves him.He breaks the engagement after 3 years .He really does not love anyone. Her brother , his wife and children have decided differently. These stories are so short can't go in more detail but think you will enjoy them even if its not Christmas.A good price too .

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Christmas Love Stories October 16, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
They are amazing love stories and I would give them higher than 5 stars if I could. I think my favorite was Mischief and Mistletoe only because of the things Emma's family was doing to keep them together. I have read books by all three ladies and I plan on reading many more.

4.0 out of 5 stars reviw of it's a marvelous life November 3, 2014

I enjoyed reading this compilation of three Christmas novellas from Ms. Jill Barnett, Ms. Cheryl Bolen and Ms. Tanya Anne Crosby. Each of these writers have a different style of writing which is a great way to sample their style of writing but one main theme of falling in love and romance during the holiday Christmas season. Even though these are novellas each story I felt wasn’t lacking in a story; plus there are lovely characters, a happily ever after and the miracle of Christmas.
Boxing day by Ms. Jill Barnett of two total opposites a younger handsome big Irish hero Conn owns a gymnasium on the ground floor a room on the third floor and an attic room for storage. The beautiful older than hero heroine Eleanor have always been at odds with Conn until Eleanor loses her current place and has to move in to the attic rooms upstairs. I really like this angle of the heroine being older than the hero. I did think the heroine’s fears of being too old for the hero wasn’t really an issue since no one seemed to care about their ages but the story is still sweet and so is their love.
Christmas at Farley Manor is the only regency romance in the collection by Ms. Cheryl Bolen. The handsome noble hero Captain Harry Tate the day before leaving for battle meets the unfortunate beautiful heroine Elizabeth crying in a church. Harry can’t bear to see Elizabeth so sad and offers to give her a home if she decides to marry him. There is one catch to raise his bastard daughter as though she were her own daughter and that he would leave the next day. Yes, the marriage was a quickie wedding but the fact that Harry had feelings from the beginning for Elizabeth and never forgot her despite the fact that there a lengthy separation and wasn’t really a relationship was just so adorable.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a Marvelous Life: 3 Classic Christmas.. February 3, 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
3 great stories by 3 talented ladies!
Conn learned to be self reliant and dependable at an early age helping his grandmother. He grows up big and strong but carries inside him a soft heart for the weak. When he sees Eleanor, the first thing he wants to do is hide but he's to big to hide anywhere. She is determined to not let him best her. We find we can be children again, no matter what when snow is involved. Enjoyed reading Jill Barnett's book.

Captain Harry Tate recovering from an injury is going back to join his men when he stops at a church and finds a young lady in a bit of a fix herself. They probably should have exchanged a little more information, but he knew more about her than she did about him. Cheryl Bolen weaves a story about the 2 and you don't want to put the book down.

Emma is trying to cheer the Duke up but he's determined to keep his frown. As he leaves her behind, breaking her heart, he doesn't see her again for several years. Now that Emma is no longer 18 she is determined to let him know what she thinks of him. As a Duke, he's used to people kowtowing to him, this is a new twist. Things start to liven up with Emma's nieces and nephew decide to "help" You can't help chuckling at times.
Again, no surprise but I loved Tanya's book!
