I love her training methods I love her watching show its me or the dogs,i learn something new with each eposode. So when I saw her books I had to have them. Her books are great even this one But i must tell you if you have her 1st book you will n ot need this one since they mirror each other ( you don"t get anything different) the difference is you get less from this book. this is the only reason why i am giving it 3 stars. (I was hoping for a little bit more one on one about excires and diet plans for my dog)

I love this book! It provides clear and succinct information on raising a healthy,
happy dog. In typical Victoria Stilwell fashion,the book is straighforward, easy
to understand and makes good sense. It's a hit!

I also have Victoria's other book "It's Me or the Dog" which is an excellent book, but does not discuss obesity in dogs. Since I have a 4 1/2 year old Pomeranian who is overweight at 9 lbs., I wanted some advice on how to attain her ideal weight and then maintain it. This book does exactly that. It explains the reasons for obesity and how to feed your dog not only to attain their perfect weight, but also control their weight. There are a lot of good suggestions and also tips on exercise for your dog both indoors and outdoors. I watch Victoria's show and therefore am a fan of hers. But, I think this book is an excellent source of information for anyone interested in keeping their dog at a healthy weight and fit and trim for life.
