"It's My Heart" is a resource guide for patients and families affected by congenital and acquired heart disease. It is intended to provide information on many of the issues families dealing with congential or acquired heart defects encounter. "It's My Heart" was developed over the past several years by a dedicated group of doctors, nurses and parents. The book contains layman descriptions of the various types of congenital heart defects and acquired heart conditions and describes treatments, tests, surgical procedures and much more. 'Before and after' diagrams of defects are also included.

It is available both in hardcover and on CD-ROM. A maximum of one case (32 books) can be ordered. Copies of "It's My Heart" distributed free of charge may not be sold.

I have a 3 year old son with 2 VSD's, no left ventricle and an interrupted aorta. He also has a pacemaker. He's had 3 open heart surgeries and will have several more. I am very happy to have purchased this book. As a used book, it's in excellent condition and I'm very excited to have it to refer to for my questions and concerns about my son's CHD. It took a while to get to me, compared to other items I have purchased on Amazon.com, but I feel it was worth the wait. I like that I'm able to track my item and know where it is and when to expect it. As far as price, it was a steal at $0.01 and $3.99 shipping & handling.
