Book Description

Deena Tyler's mother led an unsavory lifestyle with drugs and men prior to Deena being taken into foster care as a teenager by a pastor and his wife. She vows never to be anything like her mother. Her dream is to become a pastor's wife so someday she'll have a family life similar to her foster parents. She dresses plainly to keep guys from being attracted to her, and the one guy she is interested in only sees her as a friend. She has secretly been in love with Tony Lane since he started dating her roommate during their freshman year of college and he talked about wanting to become a youth pastor after graduation. But when her roommate died, Tony left town and changed schools. Deena transfers to the college in his home town so she can provide him with moral support, only he just wants to forget the past and move on.

Tony has always fallen for beautiful women, but because of a few bad experiences with his former girlfriends he vows to focus on earning his college degree and to skip dating his sophomore year. But he's not good at staying away from the opposite sex, which is a real problem since he wants to become a pastor. Girl troubles tend to stir up former addictions that he has battled for the past two years, so he works hard at stifling his wild side, though he isn't very successful in his attempts. To complicate things further, his friend Deena, whom he has never been attracted to because she's fairly plain, starts looking really good to him. Can he handle a new relationship this time around without messing it up, or is he destined to remain single?

If you havent read the first two books in this series now that book 3 is out I would HIGHLY reccomend getting all 3 and reading them back to back ! I was drawn right into book 3 right away and didnt want to put it down until I finished it ! I laughed out loud a good many times in reading this and even shed a few tears ! Was a very touching story tho with alot of twist and turns ! Reminders about dealing with things not alone but to rely on God for our strength and courage to get us through As always Loved the book !! Check them out !!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tearful June 9, 2013
Format:Paperback
Just when Tony Lane thought he was getting a fresh start, a brand new school, and trying to hide from his past, his brother Dan who knows all about his addictions, and demons, sees from Tony's dorm room window Deena Tyler his former girlfriend Tania's roommate. Tania died in a tragic accident where Tony was involved and was the reason he transferred to a new college. Little does Tony know Deena always liked him and that being the reason she is at the same college, with a plan in mind with him. She knows more about him then he does about her but as their friendship grows he learns of her past and her pain caused by a drug addicted mother who ruined her chances of being like any young girl her age. In fact she keeps men away by dressing in a dorky and unattractive way so she can be free of the pain she witnessed through her mother, with the exception of Tony. He has many issues concerning women and with the exception of Deena, he willed himself away from women. Parallel lives that only GOd can heal. I loved this book because of the raw honesty Michelle Sutton brings out, where anything is possible if you have an open heart, and allow God in your life. Beautifully done, and many tears later.!!

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite in the series! November 5, 2012
By xandert
Format:Paperback
This was my favorite book in this series. It made me cry (more than once, but I won't say how many times - and you can't make me! *G*). It made me laugh. The problems these characters faced were so real, their struggles so easy to identify with and their responses so genuine. A wonderful read I can recommend even to older adults - you don't need to be a late teen or early-20-something to enjoy this book (or this entire series for that matter!).
