I would definitely recommend It's Not You It's Your Personality to anyone wanting to improve their interpersonal relationships and become more self-aware about the different personality types out there. The lighthearted manner this book is written in was very entertaining! The authors throw in some pop culture references and spunky comments but at the same time are also very informative and helpful. The authors do a great job of listing different scenarios associated with all the major personality tests while providing tips and tricks for how to handle co-workers' clashing personalities. It is very important more than ever to not only understand your own personality but those around you in order to get along given how team-oriented our workforce has become today. This book is a great way to learn just how to do that, but in a fun way!

I was given this book as a gift. What a pleasant surprise. This book is written in a very entertaining style. Lots of personality tests are explained but in a way that makes it fun to learn about yourself and others. I liked how they listed a lot of current celebrity examples. This would be a great book for anyone in today's workplace or people interested in learning about personality assessments.

Not what I expected. It is targeted more toward "young adults", and I'm somewhat past that. I haven't finished the book yet, but I was looking for some help.

I have to give a review on this book. I had the privilege of having Dr Diane as a professor at the University I attend and we used this book in one of our classes. This book is an amazing read. I actually got so wrapped up in the book I couldn't put it down. Let me go over a bit of what to expect.

Its a self-help book. Lets not lie to ourselves and say its not, but don't let that confuse you. This isn't just any self-help book, its a book clearly written to engage the younger mindset. I'd personally say anyone from 16-30 would love this book (or at the very least, not be bored out of their minds). It goes over tons of different personality types, how they are measured (and the different tests you will come across in life, personality testing is now a part of business hiring), and why you score how you do, what it means for you and how it will help you. It sounds crazy, but after reading the book you will find yourself with a much clear understanding of why people do things, how to handle them, and how to use other peoples personalities to create a positive atmosphere in a wide range of situations. Not only does it help with communication and interaction with others but it will help you find a deeper understanding of yourself and why you do things the way you do. Trust me, you're not the only one that does the quirky things you do. Even if you feel confident in how you interact with others, I think you would probably enjoy the read just the same, you may be amazed at the additional things you can learn.

Best overview of all the personality style measurement systems I've ever seen. Light, easy reading, good examples & modern references. More like reading a blog than a book - in other words, should have been edited a bit more before becoming a reference book. Still, well worth the purchase.
