5.0 out of 5 stars Comedy You Can Two-Step To!
I'd never heard of Tim Wilson 'til a Conroe, Texas, country station aired his "Acid Country" cut about a kid "raised on Pink Floyd and Floyd Cramer" by a hillbilly hippie momma in a home that "smelled of incense and cathead biscuits." 5.0 out of 5 stars Comedy You Can Two-Step To!, March 1, 1999

I'd never heard of Tim Wilson 'til a Conroe, Texas, country station aired his "Acid Country" cut about a kid "raised on Pink Floyd and Floyd Cramer" by a hillbilly hippie momma in a home that "smelled of incense and cathead biscuits." Haven't come across such a great combination of hip humor and good country music since Run C&W, so I immediately ordered the album. The rest of the disc is just as good. Wilson's "It Takes A Village (To Raise a Nut)" explores with a good Cajun beat the unintended results of a spoiled brat raised in the touchy-feely socialism expounded by Hillary Clinton and Al Gore. "Momma Was A Hit Man" uses brassy rhythm and blues to trace a lineage from Lee Harvey Oswald through Sirhan Sirhan and James Earl Ray. "First Baptist Bar & Grill" is good gospel about a church where "if you don't like our doctrine and think we're not devout, we'll have our bouncer throw your butt out." True country fans will appreciate Wilson's put-down of Garth Brooks who "looks like a cowboy air-controller with that ugly little microphone." Now you've got to love lyrics like those! Some irreverent standup comedy is mixed with the songs. But this is one comedy album you'll keep listening to, even after you know all of the jokes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastically funny, hilarious., October 22, 1999

This is my first Tim Wilson recording and I have listened to it everyday since buying it. It puts me in a great mood, and makes my day go a little better. I'm a professional musician and I'm so impressed with Mr. Wilson that I would quit my current gig to work with him, hint, hint.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tim Wilson is HILARIOUS, February 3, 2006

Tim Wilson is one of the funniest comedians around. Folks from the North may not get every joke, or may in fact believe that every joke is the way all southern people really are. No matter, one should not be miss out on the hilarity of Tim Wilson.

It's even more hilarious that a 14-year-old was defending Marilyn Manson in a review below. I think that proved Tim's point nicely.

If you've got a Southern bone anywhere in your body you'll love this CD. It's hilarious! Tim Wilson pokes fun at everybody you love and love to hate. There may be a message buried somewhere in the lyrics but I think Tim is just having fun. Either way you are guaranteed a ton of laughs. Buy this CD!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars "Marilyn Manson", January 5, 2005
By
This review is from: It's a Sorry World (Audio CD)
Tim Wilson is a pathetic excuse for a comedian. If he thinks that disrespecting Brian Warner (Marilyn Manson) is a good idea, then he is sadly mistaken. Frankly, I am surprised that an angry mob of Manson fans haven't yet lit this man's house on fire. But of course, Mr. Wilson isn't anywhere near popular enough to be known amongst Manson fans. I am certain that his existance is only acknowledged by those who accidently stumble upon his name as a friend of mine did. He informed me of Mr. Wilsons extremely stupid, pointless, and disrespectful 'bit' and I was quite unpleased. Personally, I think that we should blow off Mr. Wilsons head and see if it grows back, thank you Mr. Omega Muerte for that wonderful idea. Marilyn Manson is by far a more talented artist than Tim Wilson will ever be, and if he produces any more recordings that are that disrespectful to Mr. Manson, then he will be hearing from me. And I warn you, it will not be pretty. -Courtney M Rivera, 14.-
