Their sound is a blazing chaos of jangle, clatter, and thump--busted strings and broken hearts. Hummable tunes to scratch that Television Personalities / Pastels / Comet Gain itch, with more than a dash of 14 Iced Bears and Desperate Bicycles in there, too. The band has built up a rabid following playing way too many shows to count during the last six years, with bands like Love Is All, Vivian Girls, Tyvek, Japanther, The Apples In Stereo, Crystal Stilts, and many others. They've been championed in Brooklyn Vegan, Dusted, Pitchfork, and pretty much every place where savvy music fans trade notes about the newest singles. Using reverb as a weapon, caUSE co-MOTION! has honed their hyperactive sound into a formidable DIY pop lexicon. Dig their new language.

Cause co-motion is a lo-fi indie pop band that simply brings it on every song. The tracks on this cd sound as though they were recorded in a hallway of an abandoned school, but with the classic male indie pop vocals, bright/ringing guitars, and catchy melodies it doesn't matter. The band plays at such a frenzied pace that they nearly find themselves in punk territory. This cd collects hard to find singles and eps from the beginning of the band's career. Recommended if you like faintest ideas, beat happening, jangle pop, c-86, and lo-fi music.
