Monstrous thrash, hardcore, and metal,

This review is from: It's Time to Decide (Audio CD)
Combat Records rises from the ashes to resurrect their reputation for some of the best thrash and hardcore music in the business. At All Cost is just one of the three that were chosen, and they couldn't have made a better choice. Not only do you get monstrous thrash, hardcore, and metal music on this album, but the group also throws in death metal, prog-rock, modern rock, and the kitchen sink.

THE REINVENTION OF METAL IS UPON US,
This review is from: It's Time to Decide (Audio CD)
Lets face it, there are many talented metalcore bands out there. In a genre burning itself out with the monotony of the "killer" breakdowns, the Ashton Kutcher haircuts, tight girl pants, and oh so catchy mall-pop sing along choruses even your little sister loves, At All Cost comes along to switch the direction of a well oiled metal machine. Fans of O.G. metalcore bands Unearth, Killswitch Engage, and Bleeding Through will appreciate the unrelenting onslaught that "Its time to decide" has to offer, while listeners of Norma Jean, The Bled, Fear Before the March of Flames will be equally enticed by the noise, the effects, and eerily catchy electronic voice sprinkled throughout most the tracks on this disc. As an avid music fan, I say this with confidence. At All Cost is as talented, original, and refreshing as they come. Buy this Album now, you won't regret it. The passion put into this album deserves to be part of your collection to. Is that a See'N'Say I hear?

At All Cost is on another level. Instead of making the same old hardcore or metal they do things differently. This album and Circle of Demons are the most refreshing albums to come out in a long time. This CD is amazing. That's all there is to say.

It's unfortunate that Hardcore is so trendy because as we all know when something gets outplayed, it loses it's potency. In fact, if it wasn't for some small similarities to other hardcore bands in this CD, I would have easily given this a 5 star rating! So what makes this album refreshing? It's not only heavy, but it is sometimes very melodic, not necessarily like other hardcore bands, but At All Cost throw in some funk & alternative elements that really make this album stand out. Also, it is very upbeat too, not anger driven like many hardcore bands these days. If you really like Stuck Mojo & are open minded to occasional "alternative" sounds, then this album will definitely satisfy you.

I bought this album about a week ago and have listened to it a couple times and have come to the conclusion that this cd isn't as good as there previous cd "the streets are alive" but don't get me wrong this is still a good album to pick up and buy, I just prefer the earlier stuff 100x better

I first heard this band when they were really small and local here, and they used to play here like 3 times a month. They have grown so much since then into an amazing band that isn't your typical hardcore band. Just listen and you will hear their vox effects not to mention the original sound that these guys have. They are even better live. The only other band that I think has out-porformed them live is Misery Signals.

when i started listening to this cd i thought it was going to be pretty cool, because the first song has some pretty good guitar and the electronic vocals are pretty cool sounding... but the rest of the cd just kinda goes downhill after that... aside from a couple songs almost every song sounds the same.. and the guitar and drums arent really anything special. i gave it three stars cuz theres 2 or 3 decent songs on it, but besides that.. youre better off downloading this one.

I really love this CD. I can't stop listening to it. Take some really good death metal, throw in some daft punk style electronic vocals, and some interesting arrangements and you've got one of the most original, entertaining heavy metal cd's of the last few years. I'm glad to see combat records on the map too!
can't wait to see these guys on Dec. 8 in Va. Beach!! buy it! the only reason i give em a four, is so they have room for improvement.

I saw these guys w/ Darkest Hour, and they were incredible. This record honestly lives up to thier show. It is brutal, extremely melodic, and also extremely entertaining. The songs each have thier own sound, and this record grows on you hard. My favorite songs are The Irony, What is Left To Inspire (an older song), and Death to Destraction. For fans of Darkest Hour, Still Remains, and Misery Signals (though they do not really sound like these bands). This is a rare completley original record in a scene that often lacks originality.

you people like this? it's just a generic "metalcore" band who figured out how neat it sounds to turn autotune up all the way. nothing more. and the screamer sounds like an idiot-- he'd work in some kind of grindcore band or even with a sound that made his screams funny (i.e. diego's hot balloon ride), but that guy just takes himself way too seriously. this is meh, and that's all.
