Book Description

July 1, 1997
In 1994 the Lord gave Richard Crisco, the youth minister at Brownsville Assembly of God, a scriptural promise for generation X: "This is the generation of them that seek Him, that seek thy face..." (Ps 24:6). That promise has come to pass! On Father's Day of 1995 the "Brownsville Revival" began, and the youth exploded with revival power as well, affecting their schools and surrounding communities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looking for (youth) revival! Look here!, June 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: It's Time: Passing Revival to the Next Generation (Paperback)
It's time was truly one of the biggest blessings in my life. It honestly took my on a real life journey in youth ministry to everything I dared dream my youth ministry could be.

If you are a youth pastor, pastor or parent, or even a youth wanting to see revival, then this book is a must have for your ministry and life. This is THE book to have for youth ministry.

Want your ministry to go from playing games and planting seed to the harvest? Then start here! I promise it will be worth the small price. (I will very soon be buying a case of these for my youth ministry!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Dated But Good Reading of Brownsville Revival, November 9, 2004
This review is from: It's Time: Passing Revival to the Next Generation (Paperback)
While the Brownsville revival has lost much of its glory and most of the original staff members from Brownsville (John Kilpatrick, Lindal Cooley, Stephen Hill, and Richard Crisco) have moved on from Brownsville to other ministries and churches, the effects of Brownsville can still be seen in many charismatic and Pentecostal churches. This book is an early (1997) view of the Brownsville revival that begin on Father's Day in 1995. Crisco's life and ministry were transformed and largely the revival begin with the youth ministry more so than the adults.

Crisco will challenge you. He will challenge you to pursue God with all your heart and he writes with compassion for dead churches. His main heart in this book is for youth and youth pastors. He challenges youth and youth pastors to seek the fire of God.

While I didn't agree with every aspect of Brownsville, their revival, or even with some of the points Crisco makes in this book, I did enjoy the book and found it easy to read. Crisco has a heart for Jesus and this shines through in this book.
