5.0 out of 5 stars The title speaks for itself!!!!!!!!! Just as Brian mentioned on his page!!
This Cd to me is by far the BEST by Brian yet. I LOVE his music and I have all of his albums; and "It's On Tonight" is just as we say in the south, "IS OFF THE CHAIN!!!!" With 5 stars being the highest, its still not enough to rate; needs to be 10! If you like slow jazz, then Brain Culbertson's "It's on tonight" is a MUST HAVE!!!!!! Light some candles, get with your mate,...

1.0 out of 5 stars pick up the pace
I have been a life long Jazz enthusiast and have enjoyed many of Brian's previous CD's. I was extremely disappointed in this one. I purchased this CD based on Brian's previous works and had not heard the songs prior to purchasing it. If I had heard the songs on this CD I would not have purchased it. I felt that most of the songs on this CD were too low key. Try again!

You know when you have a great cd playing in your car when you can't seem to stop smiling. That is exactly what Brian's New Cd does to you. It makes you feel good. I love this cd and I believe it is his best to date. "Touch Me" is absolutely awesome. I'd recommend anyone that likes to sit back and close their eyes and leave on a journey, to get your Brian cd now and enjoy the ride. Thanks Brian!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Romantic, March 12, 2006
This review is from: It's on Tonight (Audio CD)
'It's On Tonight' is the third Brian Culbertson album I've bought. And it's also the one I like the most and play the most. The album is quiet at times, upbeat at times, sensual at times and romatic all the time. It's a perfect album for quiet intimate evenings with someone you love. While you drink a bottle of champagne or wine in a cozy environment. Like in front of a fireplace or having a romantic dinner for two. With songs like the upbeat 'Let's Get Started' to the sleepy laid back 'Dreaming Of You' on to the flirtatious 'Wear It Out' and on to the softness of 'Touch Me'. Brian Culbertson is certainty doing his share to bring the sexes together. Along with Mr. Culbertson on this album are guess stars Will Downing,Boney James,Chris Botti,Patti Austin and Kirk Whalum. All giving Brian Culbertson a hand in puting these sweet sounds together. I think this may be Brian Culbertson best work todate. This is one beautiful album. And a must have for the romantic in you. With this album in hand,Who needs Cupid?

5.0 out of 5 stars Oooh, you have to say, October 18, 2005
This review is from: It's on Tonight (Audio CD)
Without question, this is Brian Culbertson's best work to date. He remains one of the few jazz artists' whose melodies allow you to listen to each track, and although there will be particular favorites, there is no need to skip from track to track because only 3 to 4 tracks are worth listening to. He recently performed in Raleigh, NC, along with Euge Groove and Pieces Of A Dream, and he is absolutely worth the price of admission. He has so much character, and his love for his gift...oops, excuse me, gifts, because he played the trombone as well that night, comes through so passionately, it was such a wonderful way to spend the evening. Married couples will certainly benefit from him, and the flow this particular cd brings. Enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hasn't lost a touch, October 18, 2005
This review is from: It's on Tonight (Audio CD)
I just listened to samples of the songs on the CD and I loved it. Brian Culbertson has managed to keep his sound and while producing great new tracks. This CD does have alot more slow jams though. So if you are looking for upbeat there are just a few. However, I did get the feeling that the music was a little too synthesized sounding. But its still great. Congratulations on a great CD Brian.

4.0 out of 5 stars Downright sexy, January 30, 2007

This review is from: It's on Tonight (Audio CD)
This is one of the most sexiest smooth jazz albums I've ever heard. Everything in it transpires sensuality, even a song is named after it. Culbertson knows exactly how to execute it from A to Z and it's hard to resist the slow infectious grooves of the entire album. Long time collaborator Stephen Lu plays a major role in the process and many of the featured artists are hand picked with a written song in mind. For example the title track "It's On Tonight" seems to be designed for Will Downing. "Secret Affair" showcases another master of sensuality, trumpeter Chris Botti and a beautiful piano work by Brian. In "The Way You Feel" another remarkable horn player, Boney James, delivers a sensual mood to Culbertson's silky melody. Finally Patti Austin's vocals and particularly saxman Kirk Whalum provide an awesome performance in "Love will never let you down" giving a certain bluesy feel to it . I'd like to mention Ricky Peterson, one of my favorite keyboardists who unselfishlly supports Culbertson in most of the songs, playing a subtle Hammond B3. The only downside to this great album is the excessive mellowness, of course, that's a matter of personal taste. Many people won't get enough of it and will be asking for more silky, sexy, sensual melodies. It's all good, Brian Culbertson is ready for that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Billy '2sweet 'Taylor, February 17, 2007
This review is from: It's on Tonight (Audio CD)
Now I am just beginning to get into jazz music,or I should say for the last two years I have been kicking it around. Now you real jazzmen or Women know that's not a lot time to say that you know jazz.I'm a old school fan of R&B from the middle sixties to present. One night I decided to give jazz a chance. When I tuned in my radio to the jazz channel they had a nerve to be featuring this Guy. I was blown out of my mind,I could'nt beleive what I was hearing and what I had been missing. The next day I bought everything that I could find "by this guy'.It's on tonight is my favorite. Trust the Rookie on this one.You can't go wrong. If you like Brian's sweet piano/keyboard on his previous releases, you'll love this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brian Is A Master On The Piano, January 16, 2007
This review is from: It's on Tonight (Audio CD)
If you like Smooth Jazz, you must have this CD. This is an album that you can listen to over and over, from beginning to end. I haven't become sick of this album yet, and I listen to it all the time. Whether I'm relaxing at home or reading on the train into work, this album is there with me. Brian is a master on the piano. Great CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't say anymore!!, May 31, 2006

Tight all through.I like the way he uses Will Downing on the title track, then follows that with "Sensuality",6 minute plus of pure piano bliss.
Guesting on "Love Will Never Let You Down" is Kirk Whalum as well as Soul star Patti Austin.I think its the most memorable of all the tracks on the album.
This guy never sceases to amaze me;all his efforts are top-notch.I thought he had done it all on "Come On Up" but he exceeded my expectation, and I'm pleasantly suprised.

Brian has all the four S's: Smooth, Sassy, Sexy, and Senual. Every last song on this cd is GREAT!!!

I mean, it is rare, when you can find a Cd where all the songs are all that and a bag of chips. I Love this cd!

Where's the Jazz Grammy!!!

If you are a true Brian Culbertson Fan, you gotta get this cd. And if you have never seen this man in concert, don't miss him when he is in your town. He is a one man concert!! and I literally mean that.

Buy it, play it, really listen to it and enjoy it. You will soon find yourself hitting the repeat button on your Cd player.

One Luv
